Encompasses the executive leadership of operational and transactional activities in the areas of procurement, material control, and logistics.
Oversee activities of 11 workers who buy, receive, and distribute products.
Devise purchasing instructions and policies and ensure proper procedure from both the company and vendors.
Prepare monthly reports for costs and market conditions.
Work with other staff members to generate product specifications and resolve issues with contracts and supplies.
Maintain thorough records of orders and develop and implement organizational policies for the department.
-Processing Contracts for projects, foreign and local
procurements, developing procedures and handling
strategic plans for supply chain department.
-Handling contracts processes from A to Z. Starting
from end user through tendering stage till contract
awarding.
-Working with beneficiary departments to provide
efficient contractors to operate the services, materials supplying through different types of contracts.
-Supervise contractors implementation thru communicating with end user and Follow up contractor's performance.
-Collaborated with operations services procurement peers for company-wide sourcing events, systems, and initiatives.
-Evaluated and reviewed procurement documents and participated in facility inspections.
-Implemented improvement initiatives to achieve inventory cost reductions and raw material delivery precision.
JOB PURPOSE: Purchasing requested materials, Services, Assets, MRO and General Purchasing with right price, quality, and delivery time to the right location from right source.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Identify the purchase requisition, understand the exact requirements and rectify it based on the right description if required by coordination with the requester.
2. Feed back to the requester for better and standard materials\services in the market based on sourcing process could satisfy the requester requirement if any.
3. Request for quotation from the right and approved suppliers and negotiate for the best purchase conditions (lower price, best delivery date, best Inco term, better payment term….).
4. Compare the quotations based on the official comparison form and issue the order on system to the winner supplier based on supplier winner criteria.
5. Follow alfanar PO approval matrix to have final approved order.
6. Send approved purchase orders to suppliers and follow to receive order confirmation and acknowledgment within 24hours then follow the delivery and other PO conditions up to closing the order by paying the money to supplier.
7. Work within sourcing process to increase number of approved suppliers, kill single source of supply situation and assure having updated lower and fair market price by coordination with related commodity head.
8. Maximize number of contracted items within the scope of work with the best approved suppliers to secure the prices, delivery, payment terms and the needed quality as well as saving purchasing cycle time.
9. Managing non conformity report of supplied materials to close, correct and preventing the problems in future and to work for not having any pending cases with suppliers.
10. Visit suppliers for prequalification, evaluate, develop suppliers and strengthen business partnership by coordination with related commodity head.
11. Work with related commodity head in supplier development process (Local manufacturer support is priority) in order to solve problems, increase quality, improve delivery date, develop other items with good suppliers, whereas supplier development process is the main process for killing single source and enhance business partnership between alfanar and their suppliers.
