RTA EC3 is the first multi-modal transportation strategic, crisis and event management center of its kind in the Middle East developed for Dubai Road Transport Authority. Thales role is to scope the existing conditions and needs, leading into a concept design and develop a new Intelligent Transport
As technical projects manager, I have worked on both technical (hands-on) and managerial activities,
• Leaded the development of complete life cycle of data flow starting from external systems integrations until 5000 KPIs generation and data accuracy validation.
• Managed two main data vendors (PTV - Germany, INRIX - USA) and reconciling the interdependencies among them
• Plan the delivery and define the scope and deliverables
• Identified the potential risks and prepared the necessary mitigation plans
• Control the budget and put the proper operation plan as per the budget
• Control vendors compliance according to contractual agreements
• Defined and leaded data accuracy measurement activities
• Contributed in big data analysis and EC3 machine learning model building
• Delivered all user requirements to end user by conducting successful UATs
• Provided training to operations after each software release
• Identified 20+ new opportunities and converted into actual variation orders
• Leaded technically the development of EC3 fusion engine using PTV Optima, PTV Visum, INRIX Services, PostgreSQL, Cassandra DB, Kafka, etc...
• Elicit business requirements through discussion and workshops with business users and review the client’s documents and prepare Dimensional Data Models
• Plan and work with Project Director in preparing the project plan, schedule and aligning the works to ensure deadlines & SLA’s are met
• Develop interface specification - ICDs (Technical Documents), System Design, Low Level Design and Infrastructure Architecture
• Works with key members of various departments and other members of the project team to identify and resolve application issues, system enhancements, and new user requirements
• Evaluates current processes, and makes recommendations for process improvement, ensuring redefined processes are aligned with organizational strategy and will interface appropriately with existing and new technologies
• Work on Traffic KPI computation algorithm from ITS system (Backend PTV optima db and the realtime date in GTFS RT) Simulate traffic using PTV tools (VISUM & VISIM)
• Analyze KPI, SLA and other reports to perform gap analysis in process.
RTA RMS (Revenue Management System) is the enterprise financial system for Roads and Transport Authority, the system manages RTA revenue, generate financial reports, and provide functionalities to control all financial transactions in RTA.
As project & SLA manager, I have:
• Managed the entire project which include the planning and controlling of budget, risks and scope
• Conducted successful handover from previous vendor to development team
• Closed RMS project phase1 implementation and got the signed UATs
• Coordinated with 30+ RTA customer service centers to update existing system
• Provided training to 30+ RTA customer service centers
• Coordinated with RTA internal and external stakeholders to interface with 10+ systems
• Managed support team to meet SLA requirements as per ITIL standards
• Generated weekly reports to management using BMC Remedy
sTafteesh is the enterprise inspection system for roads and transport authority in Dubai, the system is used by variant agencies inside RTA (PTA, RA and TRA). sTafteesh is running the main inspection business of RTA and it's integrated with wide range of systems inside RTA (RMS, E-Traffic, Fax, etc...) and outside RTA (DED, GRP, etc...). The system is based on workflow management and includes complicated business processes to review and finalize fines inside RTA.
As development and technical support team leader,
• Awarded from Intertec Systems for outstanding customer service 2014
• Leaded the communication with business users and provide technical solutions for system issues.
• Fixed bugs and problems on daily basis
• Handled support calls and generated reports using MBC Remedy.
• Provided all the training for business users
• Lead the team to ensure the high performance of system functionalities.
• Lead the team to develop a new inspection system “sTafteesh” using Skelta workflow engine
• Lead the team to develop a new mobile application for inspection handhelds
• Provided support and reports to end users as per ITIL standards
Lead all phases of the Software development life cycle (SDLC). Mainly work on three systems development (User satisfaction, survey management system (KioSatisfaction) and Reporting System (KioReporter)) the systems are multi tiers with responsible Web. The three systems have been sold to many customers in UAE, Dubai Customs, Tasheel, and Mohamad bin Rashed charity, etc...
The systems are built with rich web GUI (HTML5) and mobile applications for Android and Windows phone.
ArcMate EZIFlow is a business process automation platform that enables enterprises to automate, optimize and streamline their business processes into a digital environment, delivering information and tasks to the right people at the right time. it’s a platform on top of which complex business solutions and integrations can be built, with XML web service interface for cross platform integration, and a .NET object API for easy integration with Microsoft .NET applications and systems.
As Software Engineer, my main duties are:
Participate in software development of N-tier workflow management system (ArcMate EZIFlow 2.0 and ArcMate EZIFlow 3.0)
Develop the web layer using ASP.NET, HTML, ASP server custom controls, Dev Express and Ajax.
Design and implement the interface between ArcMate EZIFlow and ArcMate DMS 8.0
Build and publish MS reports using SQLServer reporting service.
Design workflow processes using EZIFlow process designer.
Install, configure and run workflow processes.
Support, monitor, and extract reports for running workflow instances.
System design, development and user acceptance testing.
Technologies used: VB.NET, ASP.NET, MS Reports, Crystal Reports, SQL Server, Ajax, Dev Express, ASP server custom controls and Oracle.
