Core Responsibilities:
•Allocate tasks between personnel in the Finance Department in sync with their capacities and capabilities with the intent of enhancing the overall proficiency of the Department.
•Manage complete accounting cycle inclusive of analyzing financial transactions, passing journal entries, posting them in relevant general ledgers, preparing financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements) and consolidating reports for the senior leadership.
•Align the internal controls with global best practices to mitigate risks associated with frauds and embezzlements.
•Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual figures and share key areas of concern with the senior leadership for timely action.
•Develop cordial working relations with all internal and external parties so that all financial transactions are recorded and reported completely, accurately and transparently.
•Reconcile Debtors/Creditors Ledgers and Bank Statements on a monthly basis; accelerate receivables collection with the help of concerned personnel and advise senior leadership to on the best collection strategy.
•Assure that all acquisitions, disposals, revaluations and cost allocations linked with Fixed Assets are properly recorded in the financial accounting system.
•Record overheads and assure that these are within budgeted limits to maintain profitability at the budgeted level.
•Keep close tabs on employees' payables, benefits, accruals and payments and ensure that these are disbursed in a timely manner.
•Collaborate with representatives from multiple departments in the preparation of Annual Budget and ensure that the numbers match with the corporate vision, growth goals and additional established targets.
•Experienced in VAT
• Provide guidance, assistance and support to personnel in the Finance Department on day to day matters linked with the Catering Division.
• Analyze financial transactions, pass journal entries, post to relevant ledgers and prepare financial statements inclusive of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
• Assure that the cumulative total of payables and receivables is within acceptable limits to avoid liquidity issues.
• Match the cash balance in company records with that at bank through the bank reconciliation statement.
• Process the payroll after accounting for leaves, absences and employee benefits.
Master Degree in Commerce passed in April 2002 from University of Calicut with the main subjects of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Taxation State Eligibility Test (SET), One of the qualification of Higher Secondary Teachers' passed subsequently.
