Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the execution of operating strategies, including product cost & product sourcing (make or buy), capacity strategies & plans, capital expenditure strategies & plans, Inventory strategy & plans, purchasing as well as HR initiatives.
• Plan and direct all business operations to achieve corporate goals; assist in budget preparation and expense management activities; allocate funds, authorize expenditures and assist area managers in budget planning.
• Ensure robust plant safety, security procedures, and trainings are in place to guarantee plant/factory operations comply with all required regulations; develop and implement SHE initiatives.
• Develop and implement protocols for the sustainability of business in the areas of manufacturing, production & raw-material planning, inventory management, maintenance regimes & contracts, security, safety, and legal compliance.
• Handle responsibility for operations and maintenance of the production line; analyze budgets and continuously control production costs and identify/rectify waste measures.
• Assist in preparing the budget for the support services divisions, managed cost and cash flow, led cost reduction efforts and ensured expenditures within the set budget.
• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations for the business including raw material planning, procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, customer service and transportation.
• Manage and oversee the entire procurement lifecycle right from planning, bid preparation, budget/ forecasting, contracting, negotiating prices, quality, delivery, warranty, purchasing agreements to invoicing and reporting.
• Evaluate and manage bids, tenders, proposals (RFP’s/RFQ’s) and quotations for complex purchases.
• Manage warehouse operations in compliance with the facility’s policy and vision including overseeing team performance, expediting the receiving and shipping of goods, and ensuring efficient, organized storage.
• Develop the annual budget for warehouse operations, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to ensure compliance with the budget.
• Implement the system of security, safety and control of fire, theft and accidents in the warehouse; set, maintain and enforce general warehouse health and safety.
• Identify the annual needs of spare parts, materials, and maintenance tools, ensuring that all maintenance resources (tools, supplies, materials and manpower) are mobilized in a timely fashion.
• Develop and implement cost-effective procurement, contracting and supply chain management policies, practices, processes & procedures in compliance with the organization’s rules and regulations.
• Determine staffing requirements and ensure that company positions are filled promptly; recruit, manage & develop staff, identify training needs, and conduct trainings for staff development. Oversee team mobilization as well as deployment.
