• Supervision of Preventive Maintenance and Corrective maintenance of Fleet Construction Equipment, Lifting Equipment, Tractors buses and Vehicles.
• Supporting Technicians in troubleshooting and fault findings.
• Defect reporting and coordinating with OEM for warranty claims as applicable and/or for provision of spare parts.
• Conducting site visits to access site requirements and equipment status.
• Coordinate with Site Transport supervisors to provide support in maintaining equipment at project sites.
• Coordinating with Store, procurement and Equipment/Vehicle Dealers to fulfill maintenance requirements.
• Ensuring store maintains stock of required spares and consumables for routine PM services and wear and tear parts.
• Daily using SAP for accessing maintenance records, checking PR/PO status.
• Responsible for the maintenance of Heavy equipment including Forklifts, Wheel Loaders, Skid Loaders, Head Trucks, Mobile Cranes, Reach Stackers and workshop machinery including Lathe Machine, compressors, drill press, overhead crane etc.
• Managing all aspects of Equipment Maintenance including Preventive Maintenance and Breakdown Maintenance of the fleet of Material Handling Equipment to maintain optimum performance and minimum cost.
• Ensuring Compliance with ISO 9002:2009 Quality Systems requirements.
• Preparing equipment maintenance schedule, Job Cards/Work Orders, and maintaining Equipment History Files.
• Coordinating activities of Foremen, and technicians and resolving issues that might affect operational capacity.
• Providing hands on support and leading technicians in rectifying faults in complex machinery whether in PLC & ASI or hydraulics.
• Devising maintenance policies to maximize equipment life and reduce maintenance cost.
• Ordering spare parts, maintaining necessary inventory of spare parts, consumables and lubricants in stock.
• Ensuring Store follows proper procedures and maintains proper record of Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, Invoices and updates Bin Cards physically and also in Software.
• Reviewing Monthly stock reports to optimize re-order quantities and defining minimum stock quantities.
• Following up with purchase department for delivery of required spare parts and repair of repairable items.
• Reviewing Monthly expense summary and taking measures for expense control & stock management.
• Managing expenditure according to available budget and equipment usage.
• Preparing weekly Management KPI report.
• Following up with the Assembly and commissioning Engineers during erection and commissioning of new equipment, providing support and services to ensure the smooth completion of job.
• Getting Third Party inspection for newly acquired and already in use equipment.
I went through the cement manufacturing process starting from Lime Stone Crusher, through Raw Mill, Raw Silo, MFC, Cyclone Chamber Tower, Kiln and Cooler Section, Electrostatic Precipitators, Clinker Silo, Cement Mill to Packing Plant.
I went through introductory training in Machine Shop, Assembly Shop, Heat Treatment Shop, Forging Shop, Materials Laboratory, NDT Laboratory.
I learned about various manufacturing processes. I also learned CNC programming for the sheet metal plasma cutting machine..
