MEEZA (Managed IT Service Provider http://www.meeza.net): just complete a successful 14 month contract as CIO for a key Qatar based ITS Managed Service Provider having full responsibilities for a +200 ITS Team encompassing Network/Security/Development Operations and Service Centre for +10, 000 users and +2000 devices. Providing three state-of-the-art Tier-3 Data Centre providing SaaS, IaaS and PaaS Service/Hosting offerings to Government, Finance, Retail and Energy Sector clients. Responsible for creating and successfully implementing internal ITS transformation - driving a 20% OPEX cost reduction fully realised within 12 months whilst improving overall service delivery KPIs and Customer Satisfaction metrics.

Currently contracted in by the Irish Government (Road Safety Authority) to assist on the launch of their new National Driver License System Program. This involved consultancy engagement to help set up the Governance, Service Delivery Models, Process Improvement, Contract Agreements and Strategy Definition for both Front and Back Office streams. The system is currently now live and working with 33 National High Street Offices and 1 Central Back Office Contact and Processing Centre.

Global CIO, Kingspan plc (Jan 2012 - Aug 2013): Full Group responsibility for Kingspans $1.8b Business ICT activities. Create IT strategy for next 3-5 years to support Business plans and growth, including new technology innovation based customer value-added services (e.g. B2B and B2C portals, CRM and Web/Social channels plus SAP consolidation) . Lead and adapt the global IT talent pool for optimum performance. Set-up key external delivery partners/suppliers. I have been able to deliver a 20% annualised OPEX reduction and still improve service delivery, increase customer confidence and deliver new key programs with IT Team. Orchestrated the IT components for two major acquisitions and one JV.

IT Director EMEA Region, Baxter Healthcare (Jan 2002 - Dec 2011): Was responsible for EMEA IT Organisation (+200 resources) and budget (circa $50M) . Included: IT strategic and operational planning/execution and partnering with the Global and Regional Business prioritisation forum (s) on key program deliveries. Involved in major outsourcing programs of IT services at the regional and global levels. Member of several strategic global forums, including: Enterprise Architecture (led successful Global program to move entire organisation onto Microsoft Cloud), Talent management and Business Process Improvement (involving 6-sigma and LEAN program sponsorship delivering +$10M measured avoidance/savings) . Key initiatives included: Global outsourcing of Data Centres, Service Desk and Application Support, Regional Contact Centres, Global/Regional ERP roll-out and instance reduction program and introduction of several new lines of Business (e.g. Regional Renal Therapy Centres, Compounding units for major Hospitals, Homecare Programs and Peer-to-peer surgery services)

CIO, Vodafone Ireland (1998 - 2002): Ran large IT group reporting directly to the CEO. Key duties involved preparing IT group and taking the incumbent company, then Eircell - part of the Eircom group, through due diligence and then full acquisition by Vodafone Group. Responsible for setting the Billing Systems and Customer Care/Service System strategies and executing the system deliveries.

Motorola (1989 - 1997): Director Motorola Telco, Motorola Cellular (England - 4 years)
(Motorola ran a full Cellular Airtime Resell Operation) I was responsible for IT Strategy and implementation of Customer Care and Cellular Billing for a large Corporate and Consumer customer base. This included responsibility for IT Strategy and Operations for the US based Operational arm too.
Manager Manufacturing Systems, Motorola Cellular (Scotland - 4 years)
Responsible for advanced shop floor manufacturing and warehouse distribution systems. Member of the Global Manufacturing Technology Council.

IT Manager, LASA Industries (San Jose, USA & Scotland - 1985-88)
Systems and Software designer for real-time wafer and die robotic placement systems for Semiconductor blue-chip customers.
