• Overall responsible for the Supply Chain, Distribution, Purchasing, Field Service repair team and Facilities and building maintenance.
• Lead a team of 20 operators to support daily service targets set out in the various contracts with Major Oil Companies. Create and manage the daily SLAs of each function in my remit.
• Maximise productivity levels through continuous improvement of processes and by ensuring operators are cross-trained. Re-instated Lean principles such as 5S and Problem Solving Processes across the operations team in line with the Danaher Business System (DBS) to achieve overall performance improvements. Achievements include First Time Fix improvement of 3-5% for 2013 YTD. Facilitated and participated in Kaizen events to achieve set development opportunities with in GVR / Danaher companies.
• Lead and support strategic projects in procurement, logistics and facility services by reviewing current supplier contracts and negotiating improved rates or by finding alternative suppliers. This forms part of the European and Global strategic targets in GVR and Danaher to save costs and improve.
• Responsibilities include the managing of various production and field support projects by reviewing, planning and scheduling of work in the operations team to achieve SLAs set by clients and achieve business requirements
• Key member of the strategic planning team to review cost saving opportunities in the business. Lead, plan and implement the changes on a European level to achieve the set targets.
• Prepare timely operational reports on performance measures as required by the GVR and Danaher business model.
• Responsible to uphold all Health & Safety requirements and standards in the operations team in line with global standards of the petrol forecourt industry. These include facility and personal audits, conduct training of individuals and managing contractors on site according.

- Responsible for two Industrial Engineers in the Production Engineering department overseeing various projects in production improvements, production routings, standard times, engineering information and production planning for engineering projects. Established various monthly and annual reports on production performance, production engineering projects and Lean projects. Achievements include improvements to standard times, routings and engineering information for more than 75% of all standard products.
- Introduced and implemented various Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve and sustain productivity and advance efficiency at Carbolite. Led or participated in the following: 5S, SMED, VSM, kaizen, kanban implementations and production layout upgrades. Also responsible for training of operators and employees throughout the company.
- Led various Production Engineering projects to implement improvements, standardise processes and procedures and enhance the communication of engineering information to production.
- Managed the capacity and resource planning and scheduling of customer bespoke products that contributes to a third of the company’s throughput. Improved the on-time delivery for this part of manufacturing by 35%.
- Managed projects to set standards for capturing all data of bespoke products into the ERP business system. Reviewed detailed engineering drawings of all customer bespoke orders for manufacturing process. Served on various committees to change and improve the ERP business system and daily operating systems at Carbolite to give better service to the customers.
- Seconded to be the Manufacturing Manager for a period of 3 months and gained valuable experience in people management. Formed part of the management team in making daily decisions. Coordinated projects to research process improvements and new product development.
