Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Support of assortment strategy on regional level in alignment with the International Product Management department of the German head quarter;
• Market research and compilation of market analysis and calculation on assortment level;
• Derivation of new products for local markets in alignment with local Sales and the International Product Management;
• Market launch concepts within local new product and relaunch processes;
• Responsibility for local e-commerce activities;
• Member of international project teams reading future assortment structures;
• Creating sales and product presentations;
• Preparing and performing internal and external product trainings;
• Responsibility for local compliance with Einhell CI/CD regulations;
• Analysis and optimization of local point of sale presentations.
• Monitoring master competition, market & consumer understanding;
• Responsible for product range development (new products ideas based on continuous market analysis);
• Manage in-life product performance conductive extensive numerical analysis using company data;
• Work with internal resources / agencies to develop marketing materials;
• Project management of all product integration / launces / changes;
• Coordinate and build strong working relationship with various internal organizations including sales, IT departments, and external with producers and suppliers.
Main achievements:
• Complex analysis on profitability per store, per supplier and per shelf unit for the existing range of products, establishment Decision Tree drivers for the company clients;
• Analysis of the consolidated profit and operational costs, stock rotation at the store level and establishing measures for the growth of all these indicators (increase the stock rotation to 3.3 from 1.8 in accordance with the payment terms established by existing contracts);
• I established the replacement of approximately 55% from the existing range of products and suppliers with professional destination (full drainage systems, water supply systems, elevators, etc) in the DIY destination and I defined the time line to perform the replacement, manner and steps, defining main competitors in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia for the new product ranges and merchandising for the entire assortment after rebuilding (the space allocated for each range, the number of articles per shelf unit, the quality level of news articles, etc.).
• I have set a new target margin (increase with 9.5 percentage points) and the budget adjustment for the second half of this year according with the new target;
• I established and begin negotiations with existing suppliers to improve the contractual terms and conditions and with proposed suppliers for the new ranges.
Category Management:
- Manage range of products and suppliers;
- Define assortments, structures of departments, category management tools (decision trees, grids, etc);
- Collection of relevant market data and benchmarking, defining actions in order to strengthen the position;
- Analysis assortment structure, logic, layouts and price strategy of national competitors;
- Defining department layouts and detailed shelf layouts, control the implementation in the stores, manage assortment changes in the store;
- Support for group's organization to identify and develop corporate / own brand concepts, adapting and manage the implementation in Romanian stores.
Supplier Management:
- Select suppliers, negotiations of contracts, purchasing terms and conditions, search for new suppliers, improvement & re-negotiation of T&C;
- Identifying key articles, defining specifications and implementing sourcing strategies and tenders in order to improve the purchasing conditions.
Budgeting, Analyses and Monitoring:
- Defining the targets for allocated departments (turnover, gross profit, margin (%), promotion share, stocks, rotation);
- Controlling and analysis of sales and budgeting figures;
- Implementing actions in order to ensure the reaching of the targets set for each department;
- Follow up daily on departments results and act accordingly in case of deviations.
Promotion Management:
- Defining promotion calendar and marketing activities, department split in promotional leaflets, turnover and margin targets;
- Planning the leaflet and promotion activities, establishing promotional and marketing concepts, negotiation with the suppliers concerning promotional activities and controlling the result.
Communication and Networking:
- Communication with internal clients (stores and departments) and solving issues / problems occurred in relations with own assortments;
- Networking and communication within organization (especially with the Board Management, Corporate Category Management and similar positions in other countries).
Management of Employees:
- 2 Product Manager, 1 Junior Product Manager and 1 Assistant Category.
Category Management:
- Manage range of products and suppliers;
- Collection of relevant market data and benchmarking, defining actions in order to strengthen the position.
Supplier Management:
- Select suppliers, negotiations of contracts, purchasing terms and conditions, search for new suppliers, improvement & re-negotiation of T&C;
- Identifying key articles, defining specifications and implementing sourcing strategies and tenders in order to improve the purchasing conditions.
Budgeting, Analyses and Monitoring:
- Defining the targets for Key Account department (turnover, gross profit, margin (%), stocks, rotation);
