● Support implementation of GIZ program “Initiative for Rural Rehabilitation in Syria (ILRS)” to increase food security, improve access to water, and strengthen livelihoods in target communities in the north of Syria.
● Coordinate and support GIZ implementing partners in planning and implementing water/ wastewater, agriculture, energy, and climate change mitigation and adaptation projects in Northwest of Syria (NWS).
● Provide technical advisory to the partners elaborating engineering designs, project proposals, structural calculations, drawings, BoQs, cost estimates and budgets, workplans and time schedules, and technical specifications according to the Syrian and international building codes/standards, and GIZ standards.
● Prepare contracting and finance documents and manage contracts with partners and contractors.
● Remotely follow up implementation of projects in Syria and maintain regular communication with the implementing partners.
● Organize and conduct technical trainings for technical teams working in partner organizations, and design technical capacity building measures for target groups.
● Contribute to the monitoring & evaluation and quality control of projects’ activities.
● Develop and follow up M&E tracking tools for measures implemented by partners.
● Report progress of project activities, lessons learned and challenges to the program management and donors.
● Represent GIZ in the NWS WASH cluster and other WASH related technical working groups and communities of practices.

● Remotely managed the implementation of two projects funded by GIZ and USAID in the south of Syria in the fields of Water, Livelihoods and Economic Recovery.
● Supported the field technical team (14 engineers) responsible for implementing WASH and ERL projects adhering to project proposals, clusters’ guidelines, and donors’ standards.
● Prepared project reports, including narrative and program reports, shared them with donors and attended donor meetings.
● Reviewed financial reports and followed up on payment requests.
● Built the team's capacity, including training field staff and ensuring a clear understanding of the project objectives.
● Coordinated with supporting departments including HR, procurement, MEAL, safety and security departments and with other programs for integrated projects such as shelter and education.
● Leaded procurement process including tenders’ preparation and technical review meetings.
● Work towards continual improvement of processes and technical implementation.
● Ensured the quality of implementation and beneficiary participation through M&E tools and methodologies.
● Prepared and reviewed technical assessments and studies for WASH and ERL activities.
● Contributed to preparing new proposals by leading needs assessments, collecting data, and preparing concept notes.
