Major Job Activities:

A. Has the overall and general responsibility for construction activities and construction management personnel of various disciplines to insure Contractor compliance with Contract, established schedule and budget.

B. Establishes project management procedures for execution of construction management tasks.

C. Monitors the progress of all project functions and reports on their status with particular attention to project cost overruns or Schedule delays and makes every effort to rectify these conditions.

D. Supplies Construction Department Management with current, accurate information regarding the status of all project functions by the maintenance of appropriate records and the periodic issuance of informative reports.

E. Maintains, through the Project Staff, a Chronological file of project history, supported by the compilation of minutes of meetings and a daily log of significant events affecting the project. Keeps the Construction Department informed of significant project milestones and of major conditions that could affect the project costs, schedule.

F. Prepare weekly and monthly reports on project progress, cost and quality control.

G. Determines percentage of work completed and Authorizes payment of Work Estimates as appropriate.

H. Reviews all work for compliance with the contract and Approves all project submittals.

I. Identifies out-of-scope work requirements. Prepares contract change notices as required.

J. Recommends approval of schedule changes in sequence of construction activities where required.

K. Coordinates with other departments to obtain required support. Coordinates interfaces between Contractors and project management staff where project impacts on other projects. Resolves conflicts in schedules and coordinates tie-ins of facilities where applicable.

Identifies and reports on discrepancies in original design or in contract documents which necessitate contract modifications. Reviews submitted construction, quality assurance and other procedures, and obtains necessary approvals.
G. Coordinates with other departments to obtain required support. Coordinates interfaces between Contractors and project management staff where project impacts on other projects. Resolves conflicts in schedules and coordinates tie-ins of facilities where applicable.

K. Review Contractors Submittals for Preliminary Equipment and Material List, Recommended Spare Parts List and Operation and Maintenance Manuals and Coordinate with Concerned Department regarding the approval of these documents.
L. Review Contractors Invoices for Correctness of Installed Quantities.
M. Review Contractors Installed Work Quantity Computations and Updates of Table P-2.
N. Prepares Daily Report, And Assist RC Authorized Representative in Preparing Weekly and Monthly Reports on Work Progress.
O. Initiate and Prepare for RC Authorized Representative Signature Letters to Contractors and Memos to other Departments.
P. Ensure Contractor's Compliance to Project Schedule Milestones for Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing and Commissioning Activities .
