KAUST Since Aug. 2011 up to date Working as opreation Security Shift Supervisor My daily responsibilities there are: Oversees, instructs and coordinates the activities of Security attendants Monitors. and arranges shift activities according to schedule requirements and staff availability. Establish and coordinate work schedules and post coverage. Make necessary changes to schedule in the event of unexpected absences. Reviews coordinate and authorize requests for time off and use of casual employees. Conduct inspections of various security posts to ensure on-duty security attendants are properly performing their assigned tasks. Maintains security blotter of all activities and incidents occurring during the shift. Assist in recommendation, development and implementation and enforcement of improvements to systems and procedures. Work closely with other security personnel to assure on-going incidents receive a coordinated response. Service as a principal source of information on rules and procedures governing security and parking trafficking operations. Performs clerical functions incidental to security and parking activities. Responsible for the operation of response during shift of inquiries, overall problems, emergency communications systems and advice on enforcement of general security, policy and procedures. Area of responsibility includes any residential or construction camps located within KAUST. Incumbent executes most work assignments independently, consulting with or keeping the security manager and other corporate managers informed as necessary. Assist with managing the daily activities of the security department. Plan and organize work and schedule employee to ensure proper coverage. Assist with determining the security and safety requirements necessary to ensure KAUST property, employees and guests are protected against theft, crime and threats on a 24 hour per day basis. Assist with establishing documentation and confidential reporting systems to ensure that appropriate investigation. Assist with training/educating employees on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all company loss control policies and current security and safety regulations. Develop and conduct training for security officers, owners and line level employees in the area of safety, security and fire protection. Inform management of hazardous situations emergencies and threats to the security of guests, employees or KAUST assets schedules preventive maintenance and repairs to security equipment's as needed. Assist with arranging and providing special security services for special events and executives as requested. Perform other duties and serve as "manager on duty". Performs assigned managerial, directive and coordinating functions. Serves as a primary shift advisor within KAUST for general security, policy, procedures and emergency communications systems. Initiates and participates in the development of plans and programs and implements these programs in assigned area, modifying and extending to provide complete coverage as necessary. Maintains and responsible for area emergencies. Receives, determines and directs handling or referring to company department's reports of unusual happenings, accidents in the general area, operating personnel and family problems, complaints and calls for assistance. Develops and coordinates action necessary for protection of important visitors, executives and employees.
