Study the received inputs from the clients like PTS, PR, SLD, PLD, Site survey and transfer of relevant technical data to design sheet/technical report/technical documentation and issue to all relevant groups including draughts person.
Design of HV/MV Substations including all necessary project documentation. i.e. Base Design & Detail Design
Compare with previous designs, advise on appropriate references or initiate new design.
Validate design drawings that are prepared by design team members before submittal.
Develop solutions for design, manufacture and operating issues.
Selection of appropriate material from those available and advice on applications and ensure that the component/system is feasible, practical and cost effective.
Follow up the material integration conducted by production & testing engineers in the factory.
Coordination with clients/consultants in association with project manager for approval of project documentations.
Attend clarification and progress meetings with the client to clear all technical pending points in the design.
Support site erection team & commissioning teams for site work.
Supervise & follow up the material purchase requests to the procurement department.
Support procurement department in technical issues when dealing with the external suppliers or subcontractors.
Support tendering team in tenders before submittal for evaluation.
Support & follow up for the punch points clearance.
Management Skills such as Leading/Motivating/Making evaluation/Training/tasks delegation for Team members.
