GPU is a division of PETRONAS Gas Berhad, where GPU is consisting of 6 gas processing plants, 2 utilities plants and 1 export terminal.
Head of OE&I is member of Plant Leadership Team (PLT) and reports directly to Senior General Manager of GPU. Reporting to the Head of OE&I are:
• Head of Operational Performance Improvement (OPI)
• Head of Asset and Operational Management
• Head of Work Process
• Head of Operational Excellence Management System
• Head of Analytic Engineering.
Main achievements were:
• Accountable for governance of Asset Management and Operation Management. Managed to attained performance bonus for the last 38 months consecutively with worth of RM216 million.
• Achieved 90% adoption rate on digital transformation.
• As the Lead Digital Taskforce, established PETRONAS Gas Berhad Digital Transformation strategy with budget of RM50 million per year.
* Managed the plant operation and maintenance with Zero Lost Time Incident.
* Improve maintenance productivity by 20% with more effective maintenance planning.
* Led the development and negotiation of new contract.
* Managed to close the gap on the statutory requirement for ICE and steam engineer and
* Similar role and responsibility to Head of UK.
* The 2012 financial performance of UG was the best ever achieving profit before tax 94% above
target.

* Established the new Plant Turnaround Services Department in 2006.
* Managed 10 to 12 shutdown a year with zero HSE incident.
* Lead negotiation of maintenance contract with a total saving of RM80 million.

* Eliminate combustion inspection for 9 units of General Electric Frame 6B gas turbine.

* Led the development and setting up of a joint venture company, Kimanis O&M Sdn. Bhd.
* Led the development and negotiation and established the 20 years Operation & Maintenance
Contract for the power plant.
* Led the negotiation of a 20 years gas turbine maintenance contract with the OEM and secured
a saving of RM24 million.
* Act as an O&M advisor in the Power Purchase Agreement negotiation
* Initiated and developed comprehensive readiness program for KOMSB
MAINTENANCE PLANNING
Utilities Kerteh, GPU, PETRONAS GAS Berhad.
* Managed the first plant turnaround preparation and execution.
* Managed the development of Equipment Asset Structure in SAP.
* Developed and maintain integrated database to supplement SAP.
* Manage Maintenance Planning Section expenditure with variant of less than 5% annually.
Led mechanical maintenance team activities from project stage to operation.
* Lead the implementation of Computerize Maintenance Management System.
* Reduced of the turnaround cost by RM1 million
* Saved RM500 thousand in preparation of maintenance workshop.
Prepared production plan to optimum MTBE plant’s operating mode considering the market
situation, products inventory and shipping schedule,
