1. Project Title: Mini ERP (Enterpriser Resource Planning)
Platform: Microsoft windows & VB.Net 2008
Backend: SQL Server 2005
The system helps to manage Inventory, Payroll and financial accounting
related activities of a small enterprise. The system has the following
modules.
Inventory Management
This module keeps track of the sales & purchase related transactions and maintains stock of all items. All the basic inventory management system
features are incorporated.
Financial accounting
This is a module with features of a standard financial accounting software
package such as Chart of Accounts, Account Groups & Nature, Receipts & Payment, Journal Voucher, General & personal ledger, Trading, P & L,
Balance sheet, Trial Balance, etc.
Payroll
This module helps to maintain attendance & salary of employees. Pay slip
generation, attendance marking, leave marking, salary & allowances
setting, etc are some the main features.
2. Project Title: E-Commerce
Platform: Microsoft windows & C#.Net 2008
Backend: SQL Server 2005
Proposed is an e-commerce site to take care of customers searching for furniture and related products like Chairs, Tables, Sofa sets, etc. The site gives
customer a feel of virtual showroom. The product gallery provides complete
information of items with images. Customer can place order and keep track of the order till delivery. Delivery charges are calculated online by using public
interface of transporting/logistics companies incase if necessary.
The proposed solution is based on the Microsoft platform. The choice of this platform has been made based on the rapid development that is possible on
it, scalability, and its wide industry support
Our design follows a high level of modularization to provide for a
straightforward expansion in the future. The business logic is separated from the presentation layer, and data access and manipulation is handled using another
layer called data access layer, apart from the number of benefits like security,
distribution etc, this architecture allows for easy maintenance and addition of new features.
