Oversee all domestic as well as China productions. Manage Project managers, Project Coordinators, Engineers, and designers. Conducting China and domestic vendor audits, obtain quotes and prepare RFPs for clients. Develop project management process to include time management, quality control, monitoring profit margins, and streamlined communication process. Transforming Beemak from a plastic display manufacturing to a full-fledged custom POP company. Main focus on developing custom displays for
NYX / L’Oréal as well as other brands and major retailers such as Ulta, Sally Beauty, Walgreens, Nordstrom, Macy’s, etc. Directly reporting to president of the company.
Achievements:
•Increased company revenues by $8 million dollars within the first year by creating engineering, project management and design departments domestically, as well as hiring Project Management and Quality Control staff in China.
•By using my established domestic and China resources we were able to exceed our first year’s forecast in custom POP revenues.
Managing all production, domestic as well as overseas. Responsibilities include reviewing all production kick off packages, assigning project managers to projects, conduct weekly production meetings, review all financial aspects of every project, as well as timelines, routine meetings and training sessions with production team, oversee all China production by travelling or conducting weekly conference calls with China team. Supervise 5 project managers domestically as well as our China production team and production support team. Implementing new systems and procedures to streamline production, documentation, and communication process. Directly reporting to CEO of the company.
Achievements:
•By hiring and managing project management team in China an 80% savings in travel related expenses was realized.
•By streamlining Project Management/ Production process, I was able to introduce a 70% savings in production delay related costs as well as production mistakes/ re-works.
Working closely with Engineering, Design, Creative group, Account managers, and clients, manage the development and prototyping phase of projects. Taking into consideration manufacturability of products as well as cost savings for both, the client and RTC.
In addition making frequent trips to China to approve prototypes, oversee production, vendor approval, setting up QC procedures, conducting training seminars for Project Management and Quality Assurance groups.
Managing large programs as well as training less seasoned project managers. Monitoring work load, assigning projects. Monitoring cost vs. estimates, delivery schedule, etc.
Manage complex large scale projects both domestically and overseas for clients such as Coca Cola, Nike, McDonald’s, and Rockport. Identify needed resources, define roles, responsibilities, and arrange for the assignment of key project participants. Assess the project scope and identify appropriate processes. Maintain project schedule and deadlines. Manage, mentor and motivate team members. Proactively communicate project status, issues, risks and changes to client management team. Monitor project costs, create sustainable and on going cost reductions while maintaining high standard of quality.
Manage multiple construction projects varying in size and scope from routine to complex. Negotiated and secured sites for construction of residential dwellings. Responsible for planning, communication, risk analysis, quality assurance and team management. Control final decisions on designing, budget, and marketing.
