Presently to develop business model, project formulation, technical specifications, contractual terms & conditions for projects connected to my previous organization (Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd. from where I have retired as Dy Chief Engineer at the age of 56) backed with my extensive exposure in various power sector projects & contract management, design-vetting & issuing approval of Electrical control, protection &installation drawings, progress monitoring and review, commissioning of projects, performance monitoring and contract closure of generation greenfield projects, RM& U of old power stations projects, Distribution Automation projects, EHT substation projects, Rural Electrification projects etc; factory inspection of equipment & machines and issuing of dispatch clearance, maintenance of power houses, EHT substation, distribution network & installation, processing of documents for taking strategic decisions by the highest management, procurement of materials and allocation for equitable progress of works, revenue management &expenditure control, optimum deployment of man power, high power committee member in the restructuring of the organization and in power trading for the optimal utilization of Generation capacity, discharging the quasi judicial role of Appellate Authority under Electricity Act to settle consumer disputes etc are the highlighted activities in the last 24 years since 3/1990 in Kerala State Electricity Board: joined as Assistant Engineer and rose to Dy. Chief Engineer as on to date.
Prior to KSEB, worked in Royal Oman Police(Directorate of Buildings& Projects) for 4 years in supervisory capacity in the commissioning, acceptance & O&M of Utility services consisting of Diesel Generator plants, A.C & Vent control systems, De-min water treatment plants, Sewage treatment plants, fire protection, security system, forensic lab equipment, large size Uninterruptible power supply system for ROP's centralized computer facilities etc operating in a SCADA frame work called Building Management System( 1985-89)
From 1982 to 1984 worked in supervisory capacity with Detecon Al Saudia Ltd for the commissioning and post commissioned O&M of Utility Services for powering Saudi Arabian Maritime Radio Stations that are centrally controlled in a radio linked WAN.
From 1980 to 1982 electrical construction experience as site Engineer with a contracting company in Bombay in erection & installation of LV/MV equipment & panel for spinning mills, high rise buildings, securing approval of installation from accredited agencies etc.
Immediately after the Graduation on 1979, undergone Apprenticeship training in an Electrical equipment manufacturing company focused on testing and after sale service of Brushless Alternators & Regulators for one year.
Passed Electrical Engineering with 59.22 % in 1979 from College of Engineering and worked for 20 years as practicing Engineer: then attended a part time course of 6 semesters on a post graduate management programme in the same Institute and obtained an MBA in Finance during 2003 with 73 % marks. The above spectrum of experience as a graduate Engineer enriched with a post graduate management degree during the upper middle part of the career qualify me to step into the esteem phase of my career as a Senior Executive with confidence & commitment .
