- Define and oversees implementation of IT development policies and procedures to support the CDA business plans in conjunction with the IT Director and direct line reports.
- Works with stakeholders to understand system development requirements.
- Plan system development projects, track and report their progress periodically.
- Responsible for the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of software.

-Participate in implementing the policies and procedures applicable to the Section;
-Participate developing and implementing the IT strategy from an IT systems perspective;

- Contributes to the IT strategy in order to support CDA’s organizational objectives
- Provides information and recommendations to the IT Director for planning purposes, from an IT development perspective as requested; and keeps abreast of IT development ‘best practice’ to ensure that information and recommendations are current.
- Creates and oversees implementation of IT development policies and procedures to support the CDA business and operating plans in conjunction with the IT Director and direct line reports
- Effectively oversees the solution implementation and solution transition functions within the IT development section
- Oversees solution implementation function including software logistic and physical design, coding, testing and implementation
- Oversees solution transition function to ensure that all new software is implemented and accessible to users in line with developmental policies and procedures
- Manages the operation and activities of the IT development section in accordance with CDA operating budgets
- Supervises the conduct of activities and production of agreed outputs to agreed service levels within the IT development section to achieve set operational goals/targets
