During my Master of Commerce in Finance, I completed several key projects and activities that enhanced my financial skills and analytical abilities. One significant project involved analyzing a public company’s financial health by evaluating its statements and ratios, which deepened my understanding of financial metrics. I also worked on a portfolio simulation, selecting and tracking stocks based on market trends to gain insight into investment strategies. In addition, I conducted a case study on mergers and acquisitions, where I assessed scenarios to make strategic financial recommendations. Through this, I honed my data-driven decision-making skills. I further developed my Excel expertise by creating financial models to project revenues, expenses, and cash flows, refining my abilities in financial forecasting. These projects, along with my active involvement in finance workshops, equipped me with both technical skills and industry insights, preparing me for advanced roles in finance.

During my Bachelor of Commerce program with a Finance specialization, I engaged in a variety of projects and activities that strengthened my knowledge and practical skills in finance. This enhanced my analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions. Additionally, I had the opportunity to develop a financial model in Excel, where I projected revenues, expenses, and cash flows for a hypothetical business. This experience honed my Excel proficiency, particularly with advanced functions and financial modeling. In terms of extracurricular activities, I was an active member of the university’s finance club, where I attended workshops and networked with industry professionals. This exposure to real-world insights was invaluable in connecting classroom theory with industry practices. These projects and activities not only solidified my technical skills but also fostered a practical understanding of finance, preparing me to contribute effectively in professional settings.
