Project Description
Project Phase objective is to collect Functional Requirements from all
Departments, Prepare the ERP RFP and Finalize Project Organization
Structure and Screen the resources.
- Customer Services Data Gathering Campaign Project
Project objective is the availability of codified addresses and standardized street maps to ease premises location, definition of daily reading activity and scheduling of readings dates, and accurate identification of all customers & contracts in the system (contract number, customer id or contract address).
- Customer Service System Project
Project objective is to implement new business practices and redesign current GECOL customer Service business processes, implement new Customer Service Organization Structure, implement new customer service application covering all commercial processes including new connections, contracting, reading, billing, collection, debt recovery, and service orders.
- Interface Project
Follow-up and Assist in defining the following interfaces Specification:
- Interface between ERP-IFS and CSS Billing system (Accounting and Work Orders)
- Interface between ERP-IFS, Tariff module and CSS Billing system
- Tariff Costing and unbundling Project
Project objective is to perform account unbundling so as to create Business Units with separated accounts, separate Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet Statements. The project also includes the design of transfer pricing, and the definition of a tariff structure.

PMO Manager and Functional Consultant for GECOL, providing PMO support services and functional consultation for the following IT Strategic Projects:
- IFS Core Solution Implementation
Project objective is to implement an ERP solution (IFS) covering Finance, HR & Payroll, Maintenance Management and Logistics. GECOL in Phase I established implemented Finance & HR for 44, 000 employees, Maintenance Management for 2 Power Plant Khoms and Benghazi, Tripoli Transmission Sub department and Tripoli Center Distribution Sub department, and Inventory for Main Stores with approximately 60, 000 items. The Project was successfully implemented within 14 months
- IFS Role-out Implementation
Project objective is to roll-out the ERP-IFS application for Maintenance Management and Inventory in 14 Power stations, 3 Transmission Departments, and 11 Distribution Departments, in addition to the main warehouses which include approximately 200, 000 parts.
- Application Upgrade
Project objective is to Upgrade IFS application form version 2007 to version 7. The upgrade had to be planned taking into consideration old customizations, the testing of the new functionalities, testing of the entire solution and as well as the reports and the preparation for the cut off strategy. The project successfully completed in 6 months.
- IFS Project Management Implementation
Project objective is to implement IFS Project management, Contracting and Finance in GECOL Development Projects. The project implemented successfully and it is currently in the roll-out phase
