• Supervising the preparation of MIS reports to provide feedback to top management on financial performance, viz. fund management, credit control, profitability, etc.
• Reviewing internal controls, business processes, procedures for improvements, cost reductions, monitor accounts payable and receivables.
• Planning strategies to reduce costs, improve performance, and meet future cash requirements.
• Formulating budgets and conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected figures & actual expenditure and implementing corrective actions.
• Liaising and negotiating with banks and financial institutions for raising fund and non-fund-based facilities to meet working capital and project requirements
• Ensuring the costing of equipment’s are done accurately, as per the standard and assist the top-level management in evaluating the profitability of deals.
• Consolidate and analyze financial data (Dashboard, Ratio Analysis, After Sales KPI reports and forecasting.) considering company’s goals and financial standing.
• Responsible for dealing with principals of the different brands routinely for business requirements especially for funding and cash flow management.
• Preparation of FS for Year End
• Preparation of FS Compliance with IFRS and IAS
• Complete ownership and management of source working files (MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe PDF.
• Ensure all administration documents around FS i.e. Engagement Letters, Letters of Representation, Management Letters, signed FS or any such other documents are collated for safe keeping;
• Liaise with auditors to ensure efficiency in audit by agreeing on CAS (Client Assistance Schedule), periodic circulation of agreed outstanding status report during audit and follow up with concerned personnel to meet audit requirements;
• Assist GL (General Ledger) review by highlighting aberrations/risks in the numbers; Document action points on a monthly basis and follow up for completion.
• Manage audit requirements for special assignments such as AUP (Agreed Upon Procedures) for related party transactions, financial covenant testing or any other such assignments;
• Review audit reports associated with AUP;
• Tax Assessments.
• Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis by brand by customer type
• Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward
• Prepare collateral reporting
• Coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development such as production, purchasing, import/export, accounts payable, accounts receivable, import/export IT, receiving, shipping, and others
• Assist in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 implementation
• Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories
• Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls
• Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by customer type by division
• Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability
• Work in special projects as required
• Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others
• Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.

• Prepare monthly financial reports to provide relevant and timely information to the Management Team and Board of Directors
• Prepare end of month accrual journals and overhead distribution journals.
• Monitor monthly expenditure against budgets and perform variance analysis.
• Liaise with Project Coordinators in order to prepare reports for monthly Board Meetings including variances
• Preparation of acquittals in conjunction with the Corporate Services Manager
• Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Conduct regular reviews of the cost allocation process to facilitate disbursement of overheads
• Assist the finance team with management of accounts payable, accounts receivables, cheque runs, monthly bank reconciliations, fleet management, business credit cards and asset management.
Got through in Second class upper division honer and done the Dissertation on the topic of "Challenges and Opportunities of Islamic Financial Institutions in Sri Lanka".
