The project is a USD 2.8 Billion world class healthcare facilities comprising of 10-floor Hospital Building holding 550 beds, 9-floor Out-Patient Clinic Building, Underground Car Park, 5-floor Multi Level Car Park, Central Services Building, and a Helipad.
• Serve as the site representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of electrical works.
• Monitor the electrical works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents, project quality plans, quality control procedures, approved construction drawings, material submittals, procedures manual, local and international codes of practice.
• Attend request for inspection, and witness testing and commissioning of Electrical system (HV/MV/LV distribution, lighting, lighting control, emergency lighting, central battery system, earthing & lightning protection, harmonic filters, isolated power supply system, UPS, MCC), ELV systems such as (fire alarm & detection/voice evacuation, electronic security management, clock, background music, CCTV, BMS, door access control, nurse call, intercom, public address, and ICT system such as (voice & data, WLAN, audio/video, GSM).
• Review inspection reports and test results, monitor and check implementation according to approved Inspection and Test Plan and Method Statement.
• Monitor the Contractor progress against the approved construction program and inform any delay to the MEP Site Manager.
• Provide interim checking of material delivery to site as per approved samples and material submittals.
• Conduct surveillance site visits and issue Non-Conformance Notice or Site Deficiency Report instructing remedial action to Contractor. Review and follow up the proposed corrective action for timely closure of findings.
• Provide field engineering support, interpreting legal requirements and recommending compliance procedures to contractor.
• Perform snagging to record and capture defects using SnagR software. Review the adequacy and accuracy of punch list.
• Ensures safety environment in the jobsite, through periodic inspection of construction electrical facilities and implementing safety procedures.

This is a USD 822 Million project, which includes Incubation Building, Information Technology Transfer Center, and Car Park under Podium. It houses business incubator offering tenant offices, laboratory space, and comprehensive facilities.
• Site inspection and monitor installation of electrical installations, earthing, cable laying, lighting fixtures, wiring devices, lighting & power distribution panels, cable containment, duct bank, and trenches.
• Witness testing & commissioning of HV/MV/LV distribution includes cable insulation resistance and high potential tests, switchgears, standby generators, automatic transfer switch, power factor correction capacitor bank, uninterruptible power supply system, and earthing system.
• Conducts material inspection to ensure that material delivered to site is according to the project specification and approved material submittal prior to installation.
• Prepare surveillance and issues Non-Conformance Report on works that deviates design specification and standards.
• Review As-Built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, warranties, and spare part list to be handed over to client.
• Perform electrical engineering design, load estimates and calculations such as cable sizing, voltage drop calculation, circuit breaker sizing, fault calculation, etc.
• Prepare lighting illumination calculation using vendor software or approved lighting calculation software.
• Prepare construction scope of work, design criteria and specification, bill of material quantity, and develop layout drawings for CAD.
• Supervise electrical installations during construction to ensure conformance with established specifications and standards. Review and approve electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statement.
• Issue site instruction notices to repair, remove, or refrain from installing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment found to be hazardous or unsafe.
• Review contractor’s electrical change order proposals and prepare recommendations to the Owner for review.
• Inspect various electrical equipment including diesel generators, MV switchgears, package substations with pad mounted distribution transformers, underground cables and duct banks, power distribution at utilization voltages, interior and exterior lighting, motor control panels, fire alarm, public address, data communications, telephone, and CCTV security systems.
• Supervised and witness testing, commissioning, and start-up of electrical substations and equipment rated 13.8kV. Review the adequacy and accuracy of punch lists, and approve the contractor’s O & M manuals and as-built drawings submittals.
Facility management operation and maintenance of King Fahd Hospital of the University, a 500-bed capacity government hospital under the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia.
• Attended to emergencies and respond to calls from facility users related to building services.
• Conduct periodic load test of 2-500 kVA and 1-1000 kVA, 480 V, 3-phase emergency power generators and operating test on circuits, motorized circuit breakers, transfer switches, and relays to determine the level of maintenance required. Compares results with previous test and predetermined standards to ensure that equipment is operating at required service level. Prepares report on inspections, indicating repair or replacement needs.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance and repair activities pertaining to electric power, lighting, communication systems equipment, fixtures, motors, switches, and circuit breakers according to blueprints, schematic drawings, and sketches.
• Inspect wiring and fixtures for conformance to specifications.
• Oversee the activities of electricians engaged in the maintenance and extension of power distribution facilities, adjustment of complaints, and other activities relating to the distribution of electrical power.
Facility management operation and maintenance of Sharourah General Hospital, a 50-bed capacity government hospital under the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia operate through its own independent power generating station.
• Operate and maintain 6-1800 kVA, 13.8 kV power generating station, and associated substations, main and sub main switchgears, lighting and power distribution facilities, and electrical controls.
• Assist power plant personnel during manual synchronization and transferring of electrical loads. Monitoring and adjusting controls to regulate speed, voltage, and phase of incoming generator to coincide with that of power being generated and closing circuit breaker at exact instant of coincidence.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of technicians engaged in the operation, maintenance, and repair of power plant equipment.
• Examine plant equipment and reviewing maintenance records to ensure that equipment has been installed and maintained according to prescribed practices and manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Diagnose cause of electrical malfunction or failure of equipment and performing appropriate preventive and corrective maintenance.
Facility management operation and maintenance of King Fahd General Hospital, a 750-bed capacity government hospital under the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia.
• Conduct load test of 2-500 kVA and 1-750 kVA, 480 V, 3-phase, emergency power generators and life safety branch alternate source Uninterruptible Power Supply system including the Nickel-Cadmium battery banks, inverter and rectifier controls.
• Confer with other disciplines to plan preventive maintenance programs and schedule inspections in coordination with other operating activities.
• Review inspection and repair reports, supervising progress of work, and evaluating efficiency and work quality.
• Operate and maintain stationary mechanical equipment including AHU, medical and non-medical air compressors, single and three phase AC motors, water chillers, and steam boilers.
• Visually inspect equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication.
• Record, in operation logbook, any maintenance actions taken during shift.
• Install and inspect overhead lines and detecting and apprehending electric pilferages.
• Verify kilowatt-hour meters to determine tampering of seals and possible installation of jumpers on meters.
• Conduct inventory and resealing of kilowatt-hour meters, installation of medium and low voltage primary and secondary lines, and oil filled distribution transformers.
• Assist Chief Electrical Engineer works requiring engineering calculations and application of engineering principles.
