Monitored and directed HR recruitment, development and compensation, Sales, Marketing, Profit & Loss and strategic management operations. Spearheaded and supervised various projects including Malaysia DVB T2 project (Media Broadcast Germany CEO and CTO), and Strategy Programmes Project for CDMA, LTE, UMTS, and Fixed Mobile Convergence (Telekom CTO). Managed and controlled €20M operating budget for 825 brand new mobile network sites (CDMA) to offer or improve communication in remote areas. Recruited and trained CDMA radio, transmission, implementation, and operations team to build the new network. Conducted system functionality tests and redesigned internal processes to drive on-time service delivery for B2C and B2B CDMA improvements and control B2B client solution efficiency.
Key Accomplishments:
- Recruited and developed CDMA new team performing the fastest Telekom start-up and 800 new site deployments in one year, acquiring 100, 000+ new customers and raising annual revenues to €9M within one year of commercial service launch;
- Saved €10M in Capex investments for Telekom by utilising existing infrastructure and realised an additional €5M annual Network Opex savings by replacing high-consumption BTS with Huawei with 60% reduced energy consumption BTS.
- Led European Union, Black Sea Romanian Project, a multi-site system equipped with radar and an FLIR camera system, Control and Command Centre, for Black Sea Romania Border Police. Project included the power and security solutions. Project earned praise as the first Romanian Police EU-funded Project delivered on time and within budget in the last twenty years.
- Facilitated Huawei SWAP business line development delivering Orange and Vodafone SWAP projects, enhancing Huawei Romania public image, productivity, and profitability. Huawei Romania telecommunications SWAP’S business increased by 40% in 2008 and 2009; replaced Orange Romania Alcatel’s obsolete GSM and Vodafone Romania Siemens obsolete Siemens GSM networks with brand new, energy-saving Huawei 3G&4G equipment.
Led Vodafone Technology Human Resources, PMO, SCM, budgeting and P&L functions.
Recruited, developed and led team of 45 staff and another 30+ externalized staff.
Monitored and ensured employee health and safety. Orchestrated and performed smooth operations, planned maintenance and repair a national mobile site network, along with technical, office buildings and Vodafone stores network, hosting over 2, 500 employees. Built and operated the 4, 000 mobile sites, Telco exchanges, data centres, office buildings, and stores. Led team that provided 1st and 2nd level support for all Vodafone radio, microwave, switch, and data centre sites. Whilst real estate director, led team to acquire sites, obtain building permits, design buildings and stores, build infrastructure, and install/configure/test all systems.
Key Accomplishments:
- Championed infrastructure optimization program, achieving 99.95% network availability by collaborating with Vodafone UK & VF Deutschland technology departments to select and implement state-of-the-art energy-efficient, radio, HVAC, UPS, rectifier equipment, and advanced building design solutions.
- Increased telecom site construction productivity from 20 sites to up to 110 sites per month without increasing headcount, developing the team Civil Works, Electrical Engineering, PM and Negotiation skills, improving the processes with their help, improving E2E team performance.
- Led Renewable (Solar, Wind, and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powered Sites) Programme; managed design of original Romanian automation design, which delivered 93% of yearly Telco site energy, from wind and solar source.
