The Dubai Mall Boulevard Expansion Project

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, Manage and ensure the overall logistics requirements are ready to get the workflow start on site.

•Ensure all Work Permits from all project parties Consultant, Client along with The Dubai Mall management are obtained and granted before work initiation.


•Responsible to secure the Final approvals for work implementation from TDM Management (The Dubai Mall Management) prior to start work at each site location through arranging meetings and site visits with concerned TDM management (All Concerned Departments), Client and Consultant.

•Manage and Coordinate All works with Mall Impacted Tenants and resolve all their issues ensuring work completion with minimal Impact on Mall retail operations.


•Manage and Respond to the Mall tenant/Retail inquires and resolve issues relating to the site construction works.

•Design the new Traffic Management Plan including vehicle Routing/Re-routing, Mall Entry and Exists, Signages and Floor marking direction update and modification to ensure smooth flow of traffic based on continuous work changes needed.


•Prepare and continuously update the Project Logistics Plan

•Manage Suppliers & Subcontractors material deliveries and prepare the logistics plan when required, Delivery Timing, vehicle path and offloading location method and suitability of the offloading area along with securing the permits.


•Ensure all necessary approvals and NOC’s from RTA, DM, Etisalat, Du, Emaar Downtown Management are secured on Time

•Coordinate and secure Police Permits for all labours involved at site work as its public safety project and updated biweekly.


•Ensure Applying all site logistics works as per safety standards.

•Continuously review the existing procedure with Project Management, Client & The Mall management for the conducting the works at a live and Highly place of attraction for all visitors reaching up to 300, 000 car/visitor daily


•Ensure Company is in compliance with laws and regulations specially RTA and Emaar Downtown Authority regarding transportation, including hazardous materials and resolve any issues pertaining to transportation.

•Manage and coordinate the Handing Over of the New Retails after Completion to the Client (Dubai Mall) as well Further coordinate with End User / Retail and their subcontractors for executing and facilitating their finishing works.

•Working on Material Requirement Planning (MRP) involving total & single item planning, Bill of Material (BOM), status & explosion, net change planning, lot sizing, planning runs, scheduling, and so on

•Supervising the procurement of materials, equipment; ensuring correct forecasting of supplies to maintain optimum inventory and developing & maintaining cordial relations with vendor base to get competitive rate

•Identifying & networking with cost-effective vendors for purchase of requisite materials at reasonable price

•Implementing innovative SCM solutions, minimizing inventory holding, plugging off the gaps at operational level for increasing productivity, managing supply chain & warehouse operations and inventory control functions

•Supervising Transport Department facilitating the daily transport requirements of 1, 000 staff and 13, 000 labors (200 buses and 20 mini Bus), fulfilling the engineers’ requirements & site work for Vehicles and Pick-ups (170 vehicles and 30 Pick- Ups)

•Facilitating all company transportation services including employee’s cars & company owned vehicles; ensuring that insurances / claims / registration / penalty are submitted/charged on time and analyzing related expenses

•Liaising with government official and obtaining Building Permits, NOC's, Completion Certificates, Demarcation, Re-demarcation, and so on for ensuring smooth completion of projects

•Actively involved in arranging for all communication requirements of Phone/Fax/Internet for all offices in addition to staff requirements with mobile equipment and cards as per job requirements in coordination with Head Office

•Managing Security Section having 10 security officers along with 200 security guards, and ensuring that the security policy is updated and in line with site requirements and construction policy to protect projects assets, stores, materials along with property under construction from any type of damage/ theft

•Attending & resolving issues such as injuries, accidents, thefts and taking corrective steps by coordinating with Police, Hospital, and Insurance

•Ensuring site safety on top priority with 100% good quality of work, zero wastage of material, on time execution of project and using environmental friendly material for execution
