Under the communication department and two Regional Initiatives, manage, develop, design and
create publications and events branding, in line with FAO communication and graphic guidelines
and taking full responsibility over any design requested from the two Regional Initiatives (all layout
and design files, including pre-press for the printing house and web-versions) such as:
o Reports, brochures, publications, handbooks, infographics, leaflets, newsletter electronic
distribution, vouchers, PPT presentations, program reports (including with tables, charts,
photographs, banners, bulletins, flyers, cards, posters, certificates, folders, notebooks,
roll-ups, stationary, displays);
Manage, Supervise and monitor Publications Workflow System PWS (initiate, submit, confirm the
status, following up the progress until released online) and sitting the direction by prioritizing and
organizing the action that will assist the work flow to achieve the final objective;
Supervising, designing and developing events branding such as (backdrop, rollups, brochures,
gates);
Analyze texts and translate related concepts into illustrations, dashboards and infographics;
Developing and creating concepts, icons, graphics and layouts for creating new publications and
suggesting improvements for the existing publications if required;
Deliver creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic, web-based, animated, and social media
pictures;
Custom photo editing (restoration, noise reduction, tonal adjustment);
Help/contribute in taking photographs for flagship events/meetings/agreements when needed.
Supervise and mentor graphic designers, responsible for assigning tasks, overseeing and coaching
on creative process, adhering to strict and sometimes unexpected deadlines in a fast-paced
environment and ensuring progression and improvement.
Communicate and facilitate the art direction and formatting of design deliverables and produce
necessary communications pieces in both print and digital environments using fresh and attractive
templates that are in line with related products and FAO’s corporate identity; and selecting colors,
images and text style for the layout;
Supervise and control the Web Page of WSI & Sida Project, and for any publication related to this
project;
Manage and supervise FAO website including event-related webpages as per needed using TYPO3.
Generate RM dashboard and infographics visualization for country offices.
Designing and developing annual reports, CPF and context analysis for the regional office.
Designing the FAO success stories and fact sheets.
Edit resource mobilization material for the SSFF-RI and WSI-RI teams.
Edit presentation materials including PowerPoint presentations and program reports.
Improve and edit books, brochures, agenda, art works, photos, charts and other graphic elements
accurately and in high quality;
Design and prepare layout for presentations;
Review final productions for errors and make sure final prints are matching according to our
guidelines.
Work closely with other team members for designs requested from country offices ex: Tunisia
office - reporting & communication department;
Ensure that all publications, reports, and products are produced in line with FAO communication
and graphic guidelines;
