Accountabilities
> Overseeing development & sourcing in castings & forgings and machining activities since 2006.
> Mapping strategic planning and steering operational sourcing of Castings & Forgings for various manufacturing plants & different projects both for domestic and global.
> Developing strong database of potential suppliers of Castings (Steel, Iron, Aluminium, Bronze Bushings, etc.), forgings and machined components.
> Developed sources for regular supplies in following areas:-
o Plain Carbon, Low Alloy and High Alloy Steel Crusher Castings, Mill Head Castings & Forged Shafts, Gears, pinions, etc. to Metso`s global and local factories at France, Finland, Brazil, South Africa, USA & Alwar @5000.
o MT / Annum with an annual spend of approx. 6.0 Million Euro. Single pc. Casting wt. ranges from 300 Kg to 12000 Kg duly rough machined and Forging wt. ranges from 50 kg to 3000 Kg duly finish machined condition.
o Plain carbon, low alloy, high manganese steel, grey & ductile iron, aluminium castings, bronze bushings, high chrome pump parts, Cr moly mill liners, mill heads, tyres, etc. and forged shafts, gear & pinion, sprockets, wheels to Metso`s global projects at USA, Brazil, Australia and various local projects @1600 MT/ Annum with an annual spend of approx. 5.0 Million Euro. Single pc. Casting wt. ranges from 20 Kg to 34000 Kg duly finish machined and single pc. Forging wt. ranges from 50 kg to 4000 Kg. duly finish machined condition.
Accomplishments
> Instrumental in sourcing identification, selection, technical evaluation, RFQ analysis, comparative study price negotiation & it's settlement in a periodic review, prototype development, mass production follow up, timely delivery & logistics, consistent quality, continuous development for price decrease and factory feedback analysis and its control with the suppliers.
> Developed & procured castings, forgings and machined component suppliers for:-
o Crushers (Jaw, Cone, Barmac, etc.) & Screening Machines.
o Grinding Mills (SAG, Cylindrical Ball Mills, Rod Mills, etc.). Separation & heavy duty slurry pumps.
o Cast girth gears for grinding mills, fabricated forged gears for pelletizing disc.
o Pyro processing equipment like drying system, calcining system, thermal processing system, etc.
o Bulk material handling equipment like cable belt conveyors, stacker/reclaimers, wagon tipplers, apron feeders, wobbler feeders, ash handling equipment, coal washing system, attrition scrubbers and thickners, HGMS, etc.
o Wear protection system like high chrome/ni hard cast mill liners, high manganese cast wear parts, etc.

o Bulk Material Handling Equipments - Metso Pittsburgh, USA — 2012.

o Metso Tampere, Finland in the years 2008, 2010, 2011 - Metso Macon, France in years 2007 & 2011.

> Conducted incoming inspection of foundry raw material as well as ensured process quality control.
> Pivotal in handling heat treatment, pattern methoding and risering as well as involved in physical, non - destructive, dimensional and metallurgical inspection & testing.
> Successfully conducted casting rejection analysis and its control.
> Bagged R.D.S.O., RITES and other third party inspection.
> Pivotal in contributing in administering monthly production and dispatch planning.
> Steered entire activities for development of product, entailing Internal Development, Prototype & Bulk Production.
