Examine patients using observations, instruments and therapeutic agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus and coordination and to diagnose disease and other abnormalities such as glaucoma or color blindness.
Prescribe medications to treat eye diseases.
Prescribe, supply, fit and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses and other visual aids.
Analyze test results and develop treatment plan.
Consult with and refer patients to Ophthalmologist or other health care practitioner if additional medical treatment is determined necessary.
Provide patients undergoing eye surgeries such as cataract and glaucoma, with pre and post operative care.

• Provide optometric rehabilitation, prescribed, fitted, and adjusted contact lenses.
. Assessed patients for vision deficiencies i.e complete binocular analysis, ocular health examinations, and spectacle prescriptions, cosmetic and therapeutic contacts.
• Educate and counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting arrangements and safety factors.
• Assist my principal in vision therapy and low vision rehabilitation.
Responsible for management of patients with vision threatening disorders.
Referring patients for surgeries.
Responsible for refracting patients.
Responsible for measuring and evaluating patients intraocular pressure\[IOP\]
