• Supporting occasionally running projects with cost estimation/analysing of change orders and potential claims.

• Initiation and preparation of the cost estimates in accordance with the company policies, procedures and specific requirements as identified for the tender by the higher management.
• Carry out appraisal and detail analysis of the available tender documents and liaison with other departments to provide/ prepare the necessary feedback.
• Timely delivery of the estimates for the works in regards of both direct and indirect costs and identification of their quality for risk assessment purposes.
• Co-ordination with other departments for specialist advice and the timely availability of proposals regarding design, work methods and equipment to be used, including schedules.
• Participation in the subsequent negotiations with the Employer and other third parties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Setting, monitoring and management of work measurement methods and interim and final valuations for payment.
• Technical and commercial evaluation of received offers from the vendors and subcontractors.
• Management of subcontractors, including payment applications.
• Day-to-day cost coding and proper allocation of costs to their correct cost centres.
• Follow up of project cash flow during project execution.
• Preparation and monitoring of annual project budgets.
• Estimation of Cost to Completion for all project activities prepared on monthly basis.
• Management of change/variation orders and maintenance of contractual correspondence register.
• Estimation of claims and works variations (additions and omissions) and negotiations with Engineer and Employer.
• Preparation and update of progress registers both for Employer and internally on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Establishment, update and monitoring of project schedule.
• Evaluation of schedule variations and assessment of entitlements for Extension of Time claims.
• Preparation of construction method statements, constructability studies and risk assessments.
• Coordination of temporary works design and associated shop-drawings.
• Coordination of design interfaces and settlement of design changes in coordination with Engineer and Employer.
