Job description: Planning Engineer in Building Permit Complex.

Key tasks:

-Review all applications submitted online by consultants to building permit complex to get building permit approvals during DC1 & DC2 stages.
-Using of Applications of ArcGIS/ArcFM, MVMCCB, Feeder reservation and ERP JD Edwards software
-Prepare supply/reinforcement/diversion/temporary schemes to feed all categories of customers and network reinforcement
-Co-ordinate with the Construction section regarding implementation of schemes.
-Liaises, communicates and set up an interface with customers and consultants and provide relevant technical advice
-Interact with Design & Development section, GIS and Civil sections for securing all relevant information towards distribution network development.

•Design of Old Salwa Underground Reservoir.
The Project consists of construction of new underground water reservoir 40 MIG, new pump house 12 No’s pumps, new control building, New offices building B+G+3, New O&M building B+G+3 and facilities like lagoon, chlorination building, guard house, landscaping, and installation of all internal piping.
Client: Navayuga/ Kahramaa-Water.

Key tasks:

-Design and review all electrical systems including power, lighting and low current systems including layouts, schematics calculations, and schedules
-Prepare full specifications for all power and extra low voltage systems.
-Co-ordinates with other departments for all project stages including concept design, preliminary design, detail design and approval.
-Supervise a team of Electrical Draftsmen.
-Liaise and coordinate with local authorities to get the required approval.

Key tasks:

-inspect and verify the works carried by contractor for accuracy, proper work methods and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
-Check the Shop Drawings submitted by the Contractor for compliance with contract standards and specifications.
-Check and evaluate Material Submittals of electrical items (MV panels, Transformers, capacitor banks, cables, wiring accessories…) and low current items (fire alarm, telephone, data…) which is submitted by the contractor.
-Inspect electrical materials supplied on site before installation.
-Advise and guide the contractor technically to solve any problems that may arise during execution of work.
-Check the construction phase claims, variations raised by contractor for extension of time or extra cost regarding delayed electrical works and verify justifications and basis of contractor claims.
-Manage correspondence and meetings with Client, contractors, suppliers.

-Design of Electrical and light current systems for the projects such as Layouts, schematics, calculations and schedules.
-Prepare of the project documents such as specifications, drawings and BOQ.
-Coordinate with the other design team to ensure timely delivery of design tasks.
-Ensure technical assistance at the site for execution work.
-Manage correspondence and meetings with Client, contractors, suppliers.

-Responsible for implementations and monitoring of all Electrical and light current systems at site and coordination the works to mechanical and civil groups.
-Implements the contract documents, such as design drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities, contract conditions, etc. on site.
-Manage and support project team members and monitoring progress at regular intervals to ensuring the work has been completed timorously.
-Estimate and prepare the resources such as manpower, materials, equipments, tools, etc., required for all electrical and related works prior to execution.
-Coordinate with Client / Consultant’s representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works.
-Attend regular progress meetings with Client, Consultant, suppliers, etc.
-Submit the material and obtain approvals from Consultant.
