Duties and Responsibilities

• Sampling fresh concrete from the batch mixer using test method BS 1881 Part 101:1983
• Perform concrete slump as per project specification using test method BS 1881 Part 102:1983
• Making concrete cubes sample as per project specification.
• Perform Cubes Compressive Strength Test
• Perform natural moisture content, dust content, sieve analysis, flakiness and elongation index, specific gravity of coarse and fine aggregates, aggregates impact value, ten percent fine value of aggregates and other testing as per QA/QC laboratory frequency test.
• Perform laboratory and plant trial mixes required by the Client.
• Prepared report for any malfunctions of Material Testing Equipments.
• Responsible in recording and calculation of test results.
• Checking and making sure the concrete is in the specification in the lab. check point before going to the site.
• Observed and follow safety practices in the laboratory.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time
• Directs and control the branch In-house Concrete Laboratory.
• Conducts and supervises laboratory and plant trial mixes as per instruction of QA/QC Manager or QA/QC Supervisor.
• Directs, control and supervise the activities of the branch QA/QC Personnel (s) (Field/Lab)
• Review and evaluate laboratory test results prior to submission to the immediate superior.
• Check the quality of freshly mixed concrete during the course of concrete supply whenever necessary.
• Confirms that resources needed in the conduct of testing and analysis is available. Keep records of the inventory of equipment in the laboratory.
• Verifies that approved mix designs are followed by production at all times.
• Equipment and apparatus are maintained and calibrated as per calibration plan.
