Take-off quantities as instructed by the Senior Estimation Engineer/Tender manager • Prepares the packages of inquiries and sends the inquiries to different suppliers/subcontractors. • Prepares the comparison between the different suppliers/subcontractors based on the tender document and discusses with Senior Estimation Engineer. • Incorporate the Tender Addenda/Clarifications • Review tender documents and analyze project scope and requirements • Participate in site visits and prepare site visit report to analyze the project scope of work • Analyze vendor technical offers and commercial as well project specifications and standards.
Review tender documents and identify project’s scope & verify availability of required
documents.
Review of tender drawings/documents for discrepancies, additional BOQ items/scope and
incorporating within the tender offer; Liaise with consultant regarding ambiguities
contract work scope and seek clarifications there to.
Quantity Take Off for all Civil elements (Planswift, Manually & A-CAD) based on pricing
preambles and compiling the Tender BOQ with description.
Analysis of rates for Labour, Material and Plant (fixed and variable) and thus assist build
up costing, pricing and analysis of direct and indirect cost for the BOQ items.
Maintain vendors data base, Floating Enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers.
Analyse and compare quotations received at bid stage and clarifying
exclusions/qualifications within.
Compilation of tender/bid offer submissions.
Any additional task assigned by superior / reporting head.
Preparing and agreeing payments applications/valuations so that payment is received in
accordance with the terms of the contract conditions; Works progress.
Preparing and compiling variation claim document with all relevant substantiation to the
satisfaction of the Engineer/
Review subcontractors’ quotations and prepare comparison statements for sub-contract
packages.
Prepare cost estimate and review with Tender Manager.
Prepare and verify priced BOQ for tender submission.
Coordinating with Design & Construction team.
Sourcing contractors and suppliers
Negotiating and appointing preferred sub-contractors.
Checking subcontractor invoices and certifying payments.
Settlement of Final Accounts with Clients and Sub-contractors.
Regular interface with Architects regarding specification and design, value
engineering and proposing alternatives where possible.
Preparing cost comparisons for different methods of construction.
Preparing LPO for required materials
Developing strong relationships with the clients and sub contractors.
Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications.
Regular interface with Architects regarding specification and design, value
engineering and proposing alternatives where possible.
Inspecting and then valuing completed work.
Calculating the Quantity of Concrete, Steel, plaster, Block, Tiles, etc.
Negotiating and appointing preferred sub-contractors
Checking sub-contractor invoices and certifying payments.
Settlement of Final Accounts with Sub-contractors.
Detailing of Reinforced Concrete Drawing - General Arrangement
Developing GIS and GPS data for Canals, Roads and Cities
Digitising GIS data for various Pipeline, Power line and Town planning projects.
