• Design and development of mechanical building services i.e. HVAC & Plumbing from concept design stage followed by preliminary design stage through to construction issue for a variety of buildings i.e. residential, commercial, hotels, mixed use developments, leisure facilities, schools etc.

• Carrying out design calculations for HVAC using various design application software such as Carrier Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) Version 4.9 for Heat Load calculations, Mcquay Duct Sizer and Pipe Sizer for sizing of ducts and chilled water pipes respectively. Calculations of fresh air and exhaust air requirements as per ASHRAE 62.1 2013 Handbook, Psychometric analysis using charts etc.

• Carrying out design calculations for PUBLIC HEALTH services using the formulae and methodology given in the British Standards (BS), CIBSE Guide 'G', CIPHE Guide, ASHRAE etc.

• Apply green building engineering techniques as a part of sustainable design initiatives to reduce energy, water consumption in buildings, and hence work towards achieving LEED accreditation for the project.

• Checking and correcting drawings using AUTODESK REVIT & AUTOCAD.

• Design of mechanical services according to local authority rules, regulations and guidelines.

• Carrying out Pump Head & External Static Pressure (ESP) calculations.

• Coordinating with Architectural, Structural disciplines & ID for MEP requirements.

• Prepare markups i.e. plans & schematics with the design values for HVAC & Plumbing services.

• Instruct & guide CAD operators in preparation of design drawings. Review & checking of design drawings before submission to client.

• Coordination with other services such as Electrical, Fire - Fighting and Interior Design at design stage.

• Attending internal weekly MEP coordination meetings as well as external meeting with client and specialist sub-consultants.

• Preparation and compilation of authority submissions to Dubai Municipality, Trakhees CED, EHS, DEWA, DCD for obtaining NOC.
