• Leading Project Procurement activities for the EACOP (East African Crude Oil Pipeline) Project (EPCM Scope). EACOP Project is a JV between Total Energies and their partners.
• Managing entire Project Procurement Functions of the EACOP project.
• Develop and maintain Project Procurement Execution Plan, to include all Purchasing, Expediting, Logistics, Materials Management and Package Management to achieve the project goals.
• Ensure Client requirements are identified and effectively addressed, pertaining to all procurement requirements, and act where required, as a single point of contact with Client for all the Procurement functions.
• Ensure the Procurement activities are in line with the Local content regulations.
• Ensure problems are identified on a timely basis and appropriate corrective action plans are developed to allow resolution; participate in resolving disputes, claims and performance issues.
• Analyse the root cause for any major overruns and propose steps to avoid such issues.
• Manage team of Buyers & Expeditors based in UK, India and Tanzania offices.
• Prepare and present weekly, monthly / ad hoc reports.
• Major PO’s are HV, MV & LV Cables, Pipe Line Valves, Various Pumps, Generator Package, Actuated, Control and Manual Valves, Fired Heaters, Chemical Injection, Tanks & Pr Vessels, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation Bulks, Nitrogen Generation, Electrical Heat Tracing, Water and Waste Treatment Package, GRE Piping.

I represented Sadara Project owner team (Saudi Aramco & DOW Chemical JV) to manage EPC contractors (Fluor and Foster Wheeler) during the execution of (Offsite & Utilities and Packaging center) EPC stage. The Sadara Project will be an integrated chemical complex in Jubail Industrial City, in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

• Participate and lead bid document preparation, bid request, bid evaluation, supplier selection and negotiations.
• Provide primary interface with the various Saudi Aramco & DOW Chemical JV teams to obtain various levels of approval and finalize purchase orders,
• Coordinate administration of purchase contracts, including review and input to; quality, expediting and logistics plans, claims mitigation, accounts payable, and purchase order closeout.
• Ensure all corporate compliance needs for purchase orders are satisfied including Export Credit Agency (ECA), forex, authority levels, approvals, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act etc.
