• Borehole logging of disturbed & undisturbed samples of Soil and Rock as per BS & ASTM
Standard.
• Receive the samples from sites, identify, label and store properly as per the defined procedure.
• Ensure that all samples are received from the site and maintained.
• Preparation of laboratory test schedule by selecting samples of rock, soil and ground water for
specific mechanical and chemical testing.
• Prepare Monthly disposal records.
• Fully involved in interpretation of in-situ and lab tests results.
• Supervise site investigation work including drilling, SPT, sampling, collection and classification
of soil and rock, labelling, prepare field log/borehole log etc.
• Prepare, conduct and record field tests such as permeability tests, plate load tests, pressure meter
tests. Check, evaluate and record all soil investigation data including borehole logging and core
sample presentation.
• Supervise the installation of geotechnical instruments such as piezometers, water standpipes for
the measurement of Ground water table and collection of ground water sample.
• Ensure that site investigation and instrumentation installation works are carried out in accordance with the company and industrial standards/registration/licenses/certifications. Ensure works carried out meet Company’s quality standards and contractual requirements.
• Ensure safe operations of field work and abide to the company, clients and regulatory
requirements.
• Performing site visits & prepares site inspection reports.
Project: Suki-Kinari 884MW Hydro Power Project (SKHPP). Position: Geologist / Tunnel Construction Engineer.
•Key Responsibilities:
•Supervision of Probe drilling in order to forecast advanced Geological and Hydrological condition.
•Geological field mapping of Headrace Tunnel, Road Tunnel, Grouting Tunnel and characterization of rocks based on Q System.
•Geological mapping of slope at Portal area, spillway slope, Dam foundation, Power intake & outlet using Slope Mass Rating (SMR), Rock Mass Rating (RMR), RMR-Basic.
•Responsible for the execution of all Structural and excavation works as per specifications and drawings
•Determined and documented engineering properties of rock at worksite.
•Digitizing site mapping on AutoCAD after every 10m ~50m Excavation.
•Supervision of Rock bolt drilling, installation, Anchor hole drilling, Pressure relief holes and drains holes.
•Supervision of Shotcrete & Installation of wire mash, Spile bolts, Strained Anchors, Lattice Girders, pull out test and stressing of anchors.
•Supervised Micro piling and dry drilling for the construction of small bridges and colony.
•Supervise site investigation work including drilling, SPT, sampling, collection and classification of soil and rock, labelling, prepare field log/borehole log etc
•Expected pertaining to site condition, proposed recommendations by collaborating with other engineers for ground improvements and better efficiency.
•Responsible for coordination with consultant for day-to-day supervisions and execution of all the activities as per contract specifications

• Supervision of ground investigation of rock core drilling and Standard Penetration Test (SPT).
