Main responsibilities
Purchase Order / Transactional Process
• Manages and processes Purchase Requisitions, including: order creation (PO), Supplier contact, order tracking, monitor goods/services reception and payment
• Liaises with Supply Chain team to ensure continuity of the acquisition of goods and services
Category Planning
• Contribute to the development of and implement category plans for low complexity categories
Sourcing
• Manages multiple low complexity sourcing projects and delivers agreed business targets
• Applies sourcing methodology to medium and low-complexity sourcing initiatives, working in cross-functional teams executing multiple sourcing projects in a portfolio of goods, materials and services
Supplier Relationship Management
• Develop and implement Supplier management plans for low complexity categories
• Establishes good supplier relationships and ensures they are kept informed on contract status, claims etc.
• Able to advise on a supplier’s suitability to fulfil its requirements and to assess its overall suitability
Relationships
• Supports Senior Procurement Specialists and Customer Relationship Leads on executing supplier management activities
Negotiation/Influencing
• Influences effectively to ensure business needs consider commercial reality and do not unknowingly compromise value
Risk Management
• Identifies and manages low impact risks, escalates medium and high impact risks
Management / Leadership
• Coaches junior team members to develop new insights from analysis and leading to deliver a solid set of actionable recommendations
Targets/metrics/KPI's etc
• Records supplier performance information
• Delivers targets and sustainable value for KAUST through managing and supporting sourcing and supplier relationship management initiatives
