General Responsibilities:
While assisting Chief Legal Officer, I am rendering following responsibilities, including but not limited to legal matters of PTPL:
Representation in Litigation with CLO & external Counsels before Courts on behalf of PTPL.
Public Procurement facilitate PTPL by assisting in the preparation of Bidding Documents, Evaluation of Bids (Technical & Financial), Letter of Award, Contracts, etc.
Drafting & Vetting of various official documents including contracts for procurement goods & Services of Consultants, project financing, hiring of Legal Adviser, Responses etc.
Assisting & Advising all departments in matters pertaining to HR Issues, Recruitment, tax, & Procurement Process, Regulatory Matters pertaining to SECP, PPIB, PPRA, etc.
Liaison and follow-up Consultants and Advisers in legal matters of PTPL.
Record-Keeping of important correspondences to and from PTPL, litigation, and other stakeholders, and sharing among the other officers concerned.
Invoicing & Payments of the Consultants, Advisors and Special Counsels, in conformity with applicable rules, regulations and policies.
Budget Commitments for the financial planning of PTPL in collaboration with other departments, from legal perspective and to meet the liabilities for the upcoming year.
Interdepartmental Assistance for the preparation of correspondences for the purpose to safeguard the stacks of PTPL from a legal perspective and future concerns in line with relevant contracts.
Project Financing of conventional as well as Islamic nature more than PKR 100 billion with local commercial and national banks of Pakistan for the purpose of project financing, working capital, operations and maintenance, etc.

•Hiring of a Technical Consultant for conducting EIA-Study of Site Land allocated by the Government of Punjab for a Scientific Sanitary Landfill Site;
•Nominated as Focal Person by District Coordination Officer for Waste-to-Energy Project in collaboration with Energy Department, GoPb.

•Negotiation & Execution of Agreement for the provision of ‘Volvo Busses’ to Punjab Metro Bus Authority for Lahore;
•Contractual Disputes & Negotiations with M/S. Lahore Waste Management Company and Private Vendors.
It was also welcoming platform I got when again back to Lahore. It was good to work there in Civil, Family, Labour and Service sectors. Most of the time was in appearance in litigation (Trials and Appellate Work) local courts and in surrounding cities i.e. Multan, Jaranwala, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad.

Assisted in Corporate, Commercial, Power, Labour and Service matters. Most of work was with regard to Power or Energy Sector. Therefore, got a chance to assist Sh. Muhammad Ali (a passionate, competent and enthusiastic lawyer in Civil, Corporate, Commercial, Energy, Service, ADR, Telecommunication and Media laws etc.) in Policy making, drafting and vetting of Power Purchase Agreements, Commercial Litigation, Meditations, Negotiations, Arbitration (Local as well as International) and court appearances.
It was the actual entry into the field practically. Here I learn about the drafting of Plaints, Petitions, Written Statements, and Appeals and about their filing and submissions in the Courts.
