CIL is a multinational company owned by Legal & General UK and CIB Bank in
Egypt, now acquitted by AXA a French company as a Senior Business Systems Analyst in the Systems
Department. Working side by side with foreign domain experts has taught me a lot and helped me in maintaining another layer of discipline, quality, and professionalism. I participated in establishing the
‘Change Management’ role, either for new modules or modifications in truly integrated ‘ERP’ systems.
In addition to, the Business Analysis professional services ‘Business Process Mapping, Re-engineering,
Enhancements, Auditing, etc…’
My work in CIL Systems Department included:
§ Maintain elementary analysis for raised (Life & Group) systems change requests or new solutions, throughout
the implementation and Pot Implantation Review.
§ Assess the possible impacts of required changes on relevant business areas, integrated systems, and business
processes.
§ Perform assessments of the systems processes, functional specifications and logics, input/output requirements,
reports and functional database design to ensure fulfillment of business needs.
§ Produce the Business Requirements specifications for approved change requests by production areas either,
for new solutions, or required changes in the current running systems.
§ Maintain System Requirements specifications for approved Business Requirements ‘new or changes’ on
current systems ‘including all relevant tech outputs according to the release scale’.
§ Define the high-level test plan for new releases, to ensure the full alignment with the production areas.
§ Manage acquiring approvals for proposed Business Requirements specifications and the UAT.
§ Provide efficient, accurate, and updated documentations for applied changes / projects ‘covering the entire
SDLC’.
§ Map the ‘AS-IS’ Business Processes and manage the activities to reach the ‘To-Be’ Enhanced/Reengineered
ones, to facilitate applying the required changes on company’s core systems.
§ Manage the implementation of suggested process improvements in coordination with departments’ managers
and top management according to the company’s objectives and goals.
§ Participate on several researches to establish a robust experience over the ‘Change Management’ area.
§ Manage numerous projects, starting from project definition phase until benefit realization. These enriched my
experiences in coordination, communication, and soft skills; dealing with all customers’ categories including
third parties.
Important achievements with CIL team:
§ Research the Business Objects & Business Intelligence concept and designed the (MI Dynamic Reporting tool)
which saved remarkable time, money, and dedicated resources used in the regular Static Reports.
§ Research and produce the ‘Business Process Improvement - Change Management's Guide’ rated by the
reviewers as "Exceptional".
§ Define the Service Level Agreement (SLA) between CIL & third parties of Bancassurance alliances.
§ Design Security Rules for the company's Corporate Online website.
§ Design Data Valuation Extract module - Actuarial Calculations.
§ Apply Business Process Enhancement for Individual Policy Admin (Underwriting) area.
§ Design an Integrated Business Process for Customers Complaints Handling.
§ Manage projects of New Alliance ‘Bancassurance Alliances, Barclays Bank, Blom Bank, …’
§ Design Group Insurance Business Defined Projections (Actuarial Calculations).
§ Design Group Insurance Large Schemes Handling (Web-based service).
