• Deciding the best Construction methods for overseeing the construction in terms of proper method, material reservation and optimum output of labour.
• Evaluating construction methodologies and planning to expedite the work on site in case of severe delays, without cost escalation. Studying architectural, engineering drawings and specifications.
• Reporting Project status and drafting construction methods and procedures with the project manager.
• Organizing and directing the Assistant Engineers, Civil Supervisors and site labour for the coordination of the site activities.
• Ensure that the design structures do not collapse, bend, twist or vibrate in undesirable ways.
• Ensure that construction activities comply with project specifications and approved design.
• Monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs.
• Ensuring the corrective actions as per Client instructions are rectified within the time limit.
• Completion of construction activities within the date mentioned in the program.
• Implementing the proper construction method for minimal material usage and maximum labour output.
• Ensuring timely issue of latest approved construction drawings and coordinating to construct as per the latest approved construction drawings.
• Review the architectural, structural and MEP drawings for discrepancies.
• Establishing detailed programs for the coordination of site activities and assigning job to the subordinates.
• Keep records of enquiries, submission & follow-ups from QS and Projects Support Depts. Determining the suitable construction methods and materials required as per the approved quality standards.
• Estimating total costs, preparing detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control.
• Any other additional duties & responsibilities entrusted by the Management.
