Key Responsibilities - Management:
• Making sure that any gaps in performance or quality are quickly identified and addressed through performance management and/or training and development
• Ensure direct reports have clarity about their roles and responsibilities
• Provide leadership, oversight and guidance to the team
• Establish quantifiable and observable performance objectives for direct reports including KPI’s
• Evaluate performance against established performance expectations
• Producing accurate reports on team performance for the Divisional Director, including full training needs analysis
• Full Recruitment responsibility for direct reports and involved in the recruitment process of indirect staff
Key Responsibilities - Role Specific:
• Negotiate, manage and oversee the implementation of contractual agreements with new suppliers
• Inspect and test all equipment including visiting sub-contractors to do so
• Assist the business development of NPCC by attending client Invitation to Tender (ITT) and Project Meetings, including clients such as ADNOC and Saudi Aramco
• Lead the market study, sourcing and acquisition of a full geotechnical drilling and seabed sampling system with a budget of USD$3.5 Million
Managed all geotechnical sub-contractor projects reporting, prior to issuing to end client
Reporting to the Group Directors and leading a team of 15, responsible for the total management of the operational activity of the Middle East Division of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Management: interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, motivating, discipline, performance appraisal, conflict resolution, and the administration of human resource policies and initiatives
• Preparing and implementing the strategic business plan for the division
• Supporting business development activities including, bidding, negotiation and evaluation
• Manging and controlling the operational budget of the division
• Ensuring smooth project implementation by collaborating with external stakeholders, including clients and vendors
Key Accomplishments:
¥ Met all tangible targets whilst maintaining profits of 40% on multiple projects for Qatar Petroleum
Delivered a project for ADGAS (Abu Dhabi) drilling boreholes well ahead of schedule and under agreed budgets whilst retaining a profit margin of 35%
Reporting to the company owners and leading a team of 6, responsible for building the company from inception, including the overall management, operational activity, and P & L of the new entity.

• Managing and overseeing all aspects of: HR, Finance, Business Development and Operational Strategy
• Coordinate all business development activities and raise the Company’s profile at a local, national and international level
• Creating, developing and implementing targeted projects, and managing all aspects of project management from inception to completion in the UAE and overseas

¥ Successfully set-up a new company from initiation to a smooth-running business
¥ Key player in the award of a sub-contractor project for Saudi Aramco, for the inspection of a subsea pipeline between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Project budget USD$1 million
¥ Designed subsea pipe tracking, videoing and testing machine for Saudi Aramco project
Reporting to the Managing Director and leading a team of 8, responsible for managing multiple Geotechnical Projects for key clients, such as ADNOC.
Key Responsibilities:
• Creating, developing and managing key Geotechnical projects for clients, including, compiling tenders, managing project budgets, and acquisition of materials and equipment
• Developing, constructing and testing of purpose-built equipment for clients
• Managing and overseeing business development for all clients, including, customer relationship management throughout the Middle East
Key Accomplishments:
¥ Managed a key project for ADNOC on Das Island, which was extended due to the excellent performance of the initial project: 5, 000 locations to 15, 000 locations
Retained profitability of 30% on the key ADNOC project
Overseeing Business Development for current clients, as well as developing business with new clients within the Middle East Region. Developing the array of services offered by HPR to the market, including the development of MicroROV services to the Oil & Gas, Municipality, Security and Marine markets.
Achievements:
Introduction to several new market areas.
Developed MicroROV market areas
Quadrupled the array of disciplines offered to current and new clients.
Taken on to set up a completely new office in the Middle East region, to cater for current and new clients.
Managed all requirements for local license and additional licensing activities. This covered dealing with local law companies to ascertaining that all agreements, Terms & Conditions and Contracts etc covered all local and regional requirements. I also liaised with all the required government authorities to making sure that all the required legal documentation was in place for licensing as well as for the Supreme Petroleum Council clearance.
Responsible for day-to-day operational management, strategic direction and development of the Maris Subsea Business Unit. Direct control and management of sales, cost and profit budgets, Client Contracts, HSE performance, preparation and responses to tenders/quotations and development of new and existing Clients. Overall supervision and motivation of office staff ensuring that company procedures and policies are adhered to and maintain high standard of response in support of clients needs. Management of staff training & development programme.

Employed by Thales GeoSolutions, which was later acquired by Fugro Survey. During my 7 years with Thales I was promoted twice. Details as follows:
June 2002 to May 2004 FUGRO-TGS (Formally Thales) Field Staff Manager
As a service provider within the international Oil and Gas Industry, THALES had a turnover of £43 million / headcount of 320 (160 of which are mobile on world-wide basis) and provided high tech subsea surveying and engineering solutions predominately to the oil and gas sector.
Field Staff Manager for the Europe, Africa and Middle East Regional head office (London then Aberdeen). Undertaking the management and development and supply of competent, trained, field staff appropriate to Fugro-TGS projects and Operating Companies worldwide. The combined Field Staff pools (Survey, ROV and Dutch personnel) totalled around 180 staff with a department turnover of over GBP£12 Million pa.
Nov 1999 to June 2002 Technical Support Engineer
(Promoted to Field Staff Manager June 2002)
Before taking up the Subsea Field Staff Managers position he was based in the corporate head offices in London, giving technical support to the Fugro-TGS operating companies around the world.
The technical support consisted of, but was not limited to:
• Contract troubleshooting
• Recommending and the sourcing of equipment and consumables
• The design, building, maintenance and overhaul of various pieces of equipment for offshore operations

Was involved in carrying out surveys for pipelines, cable routes, SSIV Valves, and anchor patterns etc. Locations worked around the world include Europe, Taiwan, Singapore, U.S.A., Saudi Arabia, Brunei, South Africa, U.A.E., India and Egypt as Senior Engineer in the worldwide mobile field staff personnel pool.
Has been on various contracts with AML that range from small aggregate work vibrocoring and grab sampling for sand and gravel, up to complete cable route and pipeline route investigations in various countries.
Seabed sampling and dredging, using a range of specialist equipment:
• Tramrod (remotely operated dredger) Genflo diver operated dredgers
• Roson CPT up to 10 tonne (upto10 metre pushes)
• Vibrocorers with barrels up to 6 metres, Dropcorers with barrels up to 4 metres.
