Reporting to the Divisional Director and leading a team of 4 office based and 25 offshore staff, responsible for the Management and setting up of a new geotechnical division within the NPCC.

Key Responsibilities - Management:
• Making sure that any gaps in performance or quality are quickly identified and addressed through performance management and/or training and development
• Ensure direct reports have clarity about their roles and responsibilities
• Provide leadership, oversight and guidance to the team
• Establish quantifiable and observable performance objectives for direct reports including KPI’s

As a service provider within the international Oil and Gas Industry, THALES had a turnover of £43 million / headcount of 320 (160 of which are mobile on world-wide basis) and provided high tech subsea surveying and engineering solutions predominately to the oil and gas sector.

Field Staff Manager for the Europe, Africa and Middle East Regional head office (London then Aberdeen). Undertaking the management and development and supply of competent, trained, field staff appropriate to Fugro-TGS projects and Operating Companies worldwide. The combined Field Staff pools (Survey, ROV and Dutch personnel) totalled around 180 staff with a department turnover of over GBP£12 Million pa.
