• Responsible for the reliability, availability and maintenance of NPCC 16 offshore construction vessels which includes heavy lift ships, self-elevating platforms (jack up's), derrick barges, pipe-lay barges and launching barges.
• Responsible for the repair, maintenance and safe & proper operations of all offshore construction equipment onboard construction vessels which includes pipe and cable lay systems (tensioners, A/R winches, carousels and under-rollers) heavy lift offshore cranes, barge jacking systems, spread mooring winches, pile top drilling units, hydro-hammers, internal lifting tools, grouting pumps, shore pull linear winches and others.
• Manage the full scope of acquisitions, installations, upgrades, modifications and integration activities for new construction equipment and systems, ensuring that defined standards are met and targets achieved, or exceeded, within approved budget limits. Major/latest acquisition included a 7, 000 ton carousel for cable laying, offshore pedestal crane, cable lay tensioners and a 350 ton under-roller.
• Preparation of dry-docking budgets, dry-docking specifications, technical assessment of the bids and management of the dry-docking & repairs projects at 3rd party shipyard facilities.
• Plan and execute life extension programs, condition assessment programs, conversion projects to meet the operational demands in compliance with the requirements of charterers, flag and class.
• Responsible for regulatory compliance on vessels including class & client requirements (ABS, ADNOC, ARAMCO and ONGC).
• Provides technical supports for the operational activities.

• Responsible for thoroughly investigating recurring breakdowns of repetitive nature to major/critical mechanical equipment and installations, and recommending & implementing safe and cost-effective measures to avoid recurrence.
