 Reports to Head Nurse/Charge nurse and nursing supervisor work- related issues.
 Facilitates the flow of patients in the clinic
 Enters in the computer the daily clinic census
 Handles patient’s file and endorses it to medical records dept. at the earliest possible time
 Ensures cleanliness and orderliness in the clinic
 Does after cleaning of equipment and instruments used in the clinic and sending it to CSSD for sterilization
 Assists doctor during examination of patient providing safety and privacy at all times
 Triaging based on Emergency severity index, Vital signs checking, performs ECG, medication administration by IM or SQ, adult vaccinations, blood sugar check
 Accompanies patient to admission and discharge office if to be admitted and endorses the patient’s file to the admission officer
 Accompanies patient to be admitted to the ward (where to be admitted) and endorses the patient’ s medical condition to the ward admitting nurse
 Reporting to Quality and Patient Safety department all Infection Control related issues.
 Adheres to Outpatient patient care policies and procedures

 Performing general nursing care to patients;
 Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity of cultural differences when interacting with the patient and employee population;
 Preparing equipment and ensuring examination rooms are clean and stocked with required supplies and materials;
 Greeting patients and preparing them for physician examination. Screening patients for appropriate information and instructing them in collection of samples and tests;
 Aiding physicians as required during treatment, examination and testing of patients;
 Administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards;
 Updating physician's schedule books for meetings, OPD Bookings and other related appointment information;
 Maintaining and reviewing patient records, charts and other pertinent information;
 Maintaining patient confidentiality.
 Responding to telephone inquiries relating to patients, lab requests, x-rays, prescription requests, etc.
 Coordinating appointments for specialist referrals, x-rays lab testing, etc and conveying pertinent instructions and information to the patient;
 Completing and coordinating encounter forms and day sheets.
 Requesting and transferring of patient records;
 Adheres to Outpatient patient care policies and procedures. Works with the Outpatient Manager and Clinical Director in the development and improvement of policies and procedures.
