• Maintain regulatory requirements, including ISO 15189, Joint Commission
International (JCI) standards and EIAC requirements.
• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Match the information on the label with the information on the requisition.
• Register the specimen in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Distribute specimens to the appropriate laboratory sections.
• Assist in keeping the laboratory organized by performing a variety of clerical, technical, and administrative tasks.
