I worked in a Kuwaiti third party company from November 2021 to September 2022 as a category/country manager. I made contracts with companies in Georgia, Turkey and Oman for tourism. I managed exclusive agency agreement processes with five hospitals in Turkey for medical tourism. I conducted market research and followed the procurement of some products from Turkey for Alisco United Company. I got a chance to work with different sectors and companies which are out of Kuwait during my service in Alisco United. It enabled me to gain more experience about procurements & agreements processes on international businesses.
I joined the company as Mega Yapı's first employee in Kuwait New Airport Project. I took active role in mobilization processes starting from Sponsorship Agreement. My main responsibilities were to coordinate all administrative affairs duties (employee&vehicle gatepass, transport, food, pest control, office maintenance, cleaning&tea room services, camp room management) with the main contractor company, to handle all HR duties (recruitment, visa process, man power company relationships, time keeping & payroll, teller duties, Sponsor company relations) and procurement duties (vehicle and construction equipment rental & purchase & routine maintenance process, material & construction material/equipment purchase process). I worked in Mega Yapi till the end of the project, so I took active role in de-mobilization process as well. Working in this project enabled me to gain more experience about planned preventive maintenance & procurement and manpower management.
I worked in STFA Construction Group - Kuwait Small Boat Harbours Project (for KOC - inside and outside of Ahmadi Refinery) as an Administrative Affairs Supervisor between July 2013 to February 2017. I joined the project before site mobilizations. I took active role in all 3 work sites’ mobilization process (Precast Yard, North Harbour and South Harbour). I worked with multi nationalities teams with different roles during my 5 years in STFA. My main responsibilities were to coordinate all administrative affairs services (transportation, food and water arrangements, security, pest control, cleaning and tearooms services, office and facilities routine PPM and repair works) on the site (both onshore and offshore sites) and in office areas. I also managed vendors for the administrative affairs department.
In February 2017, our HR Chief left from the project and the project management asked me to replace his place as an HR Supervisor. I had a HR team which consisted of visa, document, recruitment, payroll officers and time keepers. I took support from our sponsor company about HR procedures, calculations (payroll, leave and full final settlements) and Kuwait Labour Law. I worked as an HR Supervisor. My responsibility was to coordinate all HR services till I left the project in December 2017.
Istanbul Sehir University (private university) had just completed its first academic year and had one campus with 2 premises when they hired me as an Administrative Affairs Chief. I took active role in the process of its development with new premises and campuses. The university is composed of 5 premises, 2 campuses, 19570 m2 of open space, 27562 m2 closed spaces, and has 2000 students within 2 years.
Under the supervision of the Administrative Affairs Director, I was responsible of coordinating, auditing and reporting all administrative services, including security, cleaning, catering, service buses, correspondences, stationary equipment, inventory stocks, pest control and I managed planned preventive maintenance of the campuses and premises which have HVAC, UPS, server room, electrical and fire suppression system rooms . I took active part in the organization of seminars, spring fests and international conferences.
I worked at 4 of 6 British Petrol (BP) stations in Turkey (PT2, PT3, PT4, and IPT1). My working years at BP did not only contribute to my career, but also to my technical skills by means of constant HSE trainings and Inner Quality Inspections provided by BP.
Administrative Responsibilities:
I was responsible for the maintenance (small and big maintenance like before winter time maintenance / before summer time maintenance) of the camp sites, storehouses and social premises (GYM, recreation room, cinema room, basketball & volleyball court, soccer field) and I reported all the procedures related to the camp sites in a detailed manner. There were operation buildings which had server room, UPS, Fire Suppression system and HVAC as well. Managing the maintenance of this buildings gave me experience about permit to work, method of statement and PPM.
In the cities that are under my responsibility (Erzurum, Erzincan, Sivas and Kahramanmaraş) I carried out the duties assigned by Quality, Purchasing, Transportation, General Services, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Public and Public Relations Directorates and I reported back to these directorates.
I carried out both contractual and non-contractual purchases in accordance with the regulations.
I managed 7 different subcontractor companies and their staff in order to ensure that they fulfill their liabilities in terms of security, service buses, catering, snow removal team, pest control, cleaning services and maintenance team. I hired and managed skilled labors for a short-term period because of big maintenances periods like before winter time & before summer time maintenances and renovations. I also carried out monthly scoring, overtime, equipment demand and annual leave issues in cooperation with the registered office in Ceyhan.
I.T. Responsibilities:
The ensuring of all the I.T. equipment at the location and their maintenance, as well as the ensuring that they all worked without any problems 7/24
