PROJECT Power Distribution Automation for Trivandrum City

DESCRIPTION The project involves design, development, installation, testing and commissioning of Power Distribution Automation System for 11kV distribution network of Trivandrum city. Eight Substations and 68 Nos 11 kV feeders constitute the network. The system involves 3 levels of implementation - Distributed Nodes, Substation Monitoring System and Central Control System.
Substation Monitoring System consist of a SCADA system that monitors the 11 kV Substation Feeder Parameters and are sent to Central Control room via Radio modem.
Distributed node consists of RMU (ABB make) and Micro RTU which is used for monitoring and remote switching of 11 kV feeders from Central Control room for faster restoration of Supply and Load rearrangement. RMU Parameters are sent to Central Control room via Radio modem.
The Central Control System consists of a Master Radio which collects data from Distributed Nodes and Substation Monitoring System and passes it to the redundant SCADA Communication servers. All the data is configured and displayed in HMI screens in the Operator Workstations.
