Plant Controller - Midigama Tire Division (Since 01st Nov 2012 to 31st Jan 2015)
Reporting to the plant director, playing a key role in managing overall plant finance, Procument and warehousing.
Key responsible areas - Finance Department
⎫ Supervision of day to day activities of the factory finance function.
⎫ Ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial information and provide quality financial monthly reporting package (MRP) of the plant
⎫ Through follow up of CAPEX, operating plan and cost savings.
⎫ Analyzing manufacturing statement & present to top management to make decision on cost and controls.
⎫ Maximization of wealth & profit of the organization, safeguard the interest of shareholders through the business plan (annual budget) & control procedures set by the management.
⎫ Fixed assets Management.
⎫ Implement, maintain and continuously improve internal controls and financial procedure to ensure the proper control of operations of the plant in most effective manner and minimize risk.
⎫ Give awareness to the plant management in operational budgetary control.
⎫ Monitoring and reporting overhead expenses with the budget.
⎫ Improve the accuracy & quality of accounting report by eliminating erroneous accounting entries.
⎫ Managing cash Pool account & control Bank, cash and petty cash.

⎫ Efficient coordination with central Tax department on VAT/SAVT process

⎫ Continues supplies without delay/shortfalls in order to support continues production process
⎫ Make sure the accuracy and transparency of RFQ, BOQ and tendering procedure
⎫ Maintain supplier registration
⎫ Maintains positive/professional relationships with suppliers
Key responsible areas - Warehousing Department
⎫ Manage RM/FG/Eng. stores day to activities.
⎫ Make sure the accuracy of MRP stock, minimize the stock out
⎫ Manage the stores workforce
⎫ Maintain proper stock control and minimize the variances
⎫ Make sure the standard level of housekeeping/documentation as per 5S, Lean, and ISO 9000
Manage cycle count, quarterly and annual stock count.
As the Group Management Accountant, directly reporting to the Director Finance and Admin, responsible for analyzing and reporting the business performance in the group ensuring that the company receives accurate and relevant information on a timely manner to support strategic business decision making and control.
There are seven individual accountants assigned in above each branch and all do line reporting me while directly reporting to the GM of each location.

As the Management Accountant I was directly reporting to the GM Finance & Costing by heading finance, costing, shipping and warehousing departments.
Joined Quantum clothing group with the challenge of setting up a costing department and since I was successful with the target I was promoted to Management Accountant post within one & half years of Joining the company.
Duties & Responsibilities were listed below.
Budgeting & Forecasting - preparing annual budget & quarterly rolling forecast.
Fair coordination with Tax department for VAT related matters
Preparing monthly/Annually regulatory report generating (PnL/BS) and dealing with Auditors
Dealing with Bank, Auditors, BOI, Department of Commerce, Textile Quota Board, Tax Department, Suppliers and all other external parties in an efficient manner
Overall In charge of ERP system (Sage500 Inventory Control Software & LCC Labor Cost Control Software) - make sure smooth running the system by updating correct data on time.
Overall in charge of the raw material warehouses (Fabric/Trims/Packaging) - (40+Staff)
Pre-order costing in order to support pricing decisions & Post order costing for each order once contract finished.
Variance analysis (Variance to Standard / Variance to budget) - Sales/Overhead/Direct Cost
Performing the stock counts (Quarterly /Annually /Weekly Cycle Count)
Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
Handling LC/Dealing with Buyers & Banks
Coordinator - Marks n Spencer Regional Logistic Hub (South Asia), Franchise logistic operation
Monitor the supplier claims (Returns/replacements/Debit note/Credit Note)
