To establish and maintain proper & timely coordination and controls with all departments involved in the allowance process (form origin to payment instruction) in order to pay around 10, 000 crew members their allowances due in a timely manner
•Set up processes for cross-verifying the allowances paid out to crew for hourly flying pay, ground/ flight training pay, and meal payments when on layovers etc.
•The role also involves configuring system modifications, apprising the Management and seeking approvals when implementing new policies
•Comply and assist with external (Ernst & Young) and internal audit activities
•Attended a comprehensive training session for the Crew Allowance Calculation Module of the AIMS (Airline Information and Management System) Crew Management & Ops Control computerized system conducted in Athens, Greece.

Planning, Organizing and Monitoring Crew Layover Accommodation & Transport
•Coordination of Crew Accommodation & Transport at over 90+ destinations across the QR network
•Address Journey Logs and Voyage reports received by coordinating investigations for the same and providing a feedback to concerned departments/ crew involved
•To ensure that there is no shortfall in rooms blocked for operating crew at the same time to minimize the cost impact which may arise due to no shows
•Is an essential part of a team formed to review/ survey shortlisted Crew accommodations globally. A part of this task includes travelling and providing vital inputs to the Hotel Selection (Management) Committee. Conducted hotel inspections of prospective hotels in Washington D.C, Brussels, Budapest and Kilimanjaro
Administration and Management related tasks:
•Data analysis for Management review
•Interaction within and outside the ranks of the Company ranging from Senior Management to Executives across departments such as Finance, Systems & Projects, Outstation Ground operations, Procurement, HR, Crew sections, Rostering, Crew Planning etc.
•Handling the process of maintaining (QCAA requirement) and distribution of Flight Journey Logs. Played a vital part in scoping the requirements and transition to the “e-Journey Log” system in QLOUD
•Involved in the Staff remuneration review project for Flight Operations
•Preparation of Management Pilots and general staff SMA’s as required
•Checking on crew visa requirements & nationality restrictions for new destinations
•CRM (Crew Resource Management) certified
•Miscellaneous Administration Projects
Achievements:
•In the final stages of completing the draft of a company Manual for crew allowances from scratch
•Driven the team to achieve proven and significant annual cost savings for the company
•Proposed and conceptualized a methodology (pay per hour) for a type of allowance (Meal allowances) payment, which was a fair system for the crew and also included cost savings for the company. Included the preparation of a business case which was subsequently tabled to and approved by the Management
•Nominated by Flight Operations to attend the 3rd Global Airline conference hosted by the ACCOR group
