Senior Project Architect at White Young Qatar October 2012 - June 2016 (3 years 8 months). Development of master plan for various military facilities including landscape, architecture and interior studies at Al Udeid Air Base future works. Design of multiple projects from large scale housing schemes and landscape concepts down to minor works alterations and refurbishment. Production of concept designs and client presentations using AutoCAD, Sketchup and Photoshop.
November 2012 - November 2014 Design of a palace for the Minister of Defense from inception to site supervision, contract value 61, 000, 000 British Pounds (328, 000, 000QatarRial). Incorporating main villa of 80, 000 ft. square with a complex of support facilities including four swimming pools, one of which is a 25 meter underground pool, underground parking, private guest facilities and associated services and plant. Construction of 2.5km external walling with five gate houses, separate villa and Majlis. Production of planning and working drawings and co-ordination of disciplines on site, full co-ordination of services, interior designers, landscape design, civil and structural, DC1 and DC2 approvals.

The building was designed to showcase sustainable development incorporating a low energy design utilizing passive ventilation.

Heavily involved at planning stages from inception through to planning approval with a high success rate.
The designs included residential, retail, commercial and nursing homes .
SimultaneousIy, I acted as an expert witness for an important retail company.
Exchange with the lInstitut dUrbanisme de Paris in 1992. Studied the new town developments of Paris under the auspice of Professor Pierre Merlin. Wrote my dissertation on self build community groups in and around Paris. Attended weekly French classes (level B2- upper intermediate) in Alliance Française in central Paris.
Founder of design technology club making toys for disabled charity. Qualified as lifeguard in 1985
