Finance manager overseeing financial operations for school of 350 students and a leisure club with over
500 members. Handling NGO finances overseeing Budgeting, financial reporting and grant management

Implements and maintain acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by IHG policy and procedures, generally accepted accounting practices, and as effected by local conditions.

Worked very thoroughly on the restructuring of the finance department after being affected by a high turnover.

Directly responsible & involved in managing the finance team. Handling fully the month end closing & reporting to Head Office.
Maintain and supervise all contracts, VAT reconciliation, insurance matters.
Is fully involved in Budgeting and forecasting (i.e. Rolling forecast, weekly forecast on EFPM).
Playing the role of communicator for the cash requirements between the Owning Company and the hotel.

Overlooked the day to day finance operation of the property
Handled month end closing, reporting, insurance and legal matters of the hotel. Established and implemented control procedures for the income section.
In charge of assets & liabilities monthly reconciliation. In charge of Cashiering and income Audit Section
Assisted in the setup of Opera system, SUN & VISION (for both systems).

Accomplishments:

Worked as consultant from August 06 until September 15, 2006 at IC MZAAR.
Gave full training to the Financial Controller and the finance team and handled fully the month end closing during this period.

Prepared and cleared all supplier payments. Handled all shipping and clearing matter of the hotel and was the Departmental Trainer.
Payroll

Coordinated and implemented with outside company new payroll software. Worked closely with Human resources department to streamline the hiring and filing procedures of employee records. Prepared all booking journals, and governmental reports related to payroll.

Prepared and controlled all daily revenue and internal control procedure.
