Teaching English as an ESL teacher to all levels and ages. Coping with ever-changing needs, smoothing out potential differences and promoting American culture. Handling individual contracts as well as group and business ones.
Designed and implemented a multi-purpose business English educational platform that addresses problematic areas in daily operations. It provides awareness and information, while at the same time assists employees in providing quality services and enhances the knowledge of their respective fields.
Formed a partnership with a local business that aims in helping students deal with academic issues. Being teaching English lessons, both private, and as part of preparatory courses taken by students who are planning to study in the UK. Working within a team, my work includes the development of language and communication skills and sound grounding in presentation methods. It also includes organizational and administrative tasks and providing managerial assistance to coworkers to cope with their hectic schedules.
Worked mainly as a translator of Mr. Chris Zavlanos, who is the representative of the prestigious Italian kitchen furniture firm in Greece. I had also the opportunity to teach English and business English to employees there on a regular basis, proofread and assist in the formulation and proper formatting of written material on a daily basis.
Joined an organizing, concert and event planning firm as a personal assistant of Ms. Athina Yannaki, who attracts major names in show business, such as the New York Ballet, Elton John and George Michael. Was responsible for teaching English and business English to staff situated in Athens, as well as proofreading and translator services.
Worked for Jack Morton, a company that was responsible in organizing the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games. Acted as a translator for personnel and athletes and as a coordinator for the setting and general conduct of different types of volunteers. Managed athlete’s, as well as helped in facilitating various events within the stadium
14 - month military service in the Greek Air-Force, where I held the rank of Airman. Worked as logistics assistant and inventory manager for the 3rd Hellenic Air Force, kept inventory, dealt with suppliers, regulated ingoing and outgoing provisions.
