Responsible for strategic sourcing of silver components used in low voltage switchgear products (Total Spend: Rs. 150 Crs, SKUs: 200+). Activities involved (but not limited to) are spend analysis, market research - demand and supply, identifying and developing potential suppliers, development of new products, negotiation, contract optimization, supply chain infrastructure, continuous improvement, etc.
Achieved cost savings impact in excess of 5% of Value Addition (YOY) and also assisted design and engineering teams in VA/VE projects.
Managing tactical sourcing activities like planning, procurement, payment & quality issues so as to ensure supply sustainability at required cost targets.
Accountable for driving Procurement Optimization Initiative across company and adopting ‘Total Value of Ownership’ approach to generate benefits like increased revenue, enable operational efficiency and sustainability, mitigate risk and foster innovation.
Involving Suppliers in the excellence journey by conducting training and mentoring on improvement initiatives.
Reporting the progress of Procurement Optimization initiative to higher management in monthly steering committee meetings.
Accountable for driving and spreading culture of Lean Manufacturing and Value Engineering throughout the company.
Target setting of the line managers which are in line with the organizational goals and that provide P&L impact.
Identification, execution and monitoring of Lean and VA/VE Projects across multiple manufacturing locations
Reporting the progress of Lean Manufacturing and Value Engineering initiative to higher management in monthly steering committee meetings.
Organizing annual competition on all improvement initiatives for cross learning and employee engagement.
