Injection water filters are integral part of water management in upstream to get
clean water for sub-surface injection to maintain reservoir pressure. Quality of
injection water managed thro’ injection water filter w.r.t. lower TSS and oil-in-water.
Increased need for backwash due to higher DP needs an in-depth analysis.
Envisaged that walnut shell filter can act as breeding room for micro-bacteria and
can create solid & hard biomass inside the filter media. Project challenge accepted

Company KNPC, Shuiaba Refinery is one of the World’s oldest Refinery and still maintaining it’s
performance standard to world class level by proficient management of HR, Material
Management and latest Technology retrofitting as much as possible.
An imported ( Italy) Breachlock Exchanger onto which inlet and outlet nozzle body
has been badly grooved out during removal of hydrotest end-cap. The exchanger
was PWHT and this deep groove has been subjected to FFS study and the
groove/dents accepted as-it-is without PWHT but with edge smoothening.

Water-Gas multiphase

This is a typical and critical retrofitting welding between new Static Cast WYE
Fitting H46M and Centrifugally Cast old, aged, carburised Straight Tube H 39WM.
Standard ABB Lummus WPS did not work due to uncontrolled weld cracking. This
is a serious concern problem as Plant Start-Up is concern. Handled the problem
very successfully by brainstorming indeginious procedure applying detail Weld
Metallurgy by high Ni alloy buttering crack arrestor technique.

Worked on Auto Refrigeration and Brittle Fracture of Equipment pertaining
to petrochemical oliphin area on cold equipment
A challenge to JSW undertaken by in-house effort wherein the detail methodology
of multimetal-multilayer refurbishment repair welding procedure developed,
successfully mocked & applied on-Job. Refurbished Screws are put back in full
load service of different HD polymer slurry extrusion with no failure till last 1 year.

knowledge base and industrial demands to HPL an Academic Institute
respectively. HPL will not have to procure costly instrument but will control &
execute expert services through Academic Institute under common minimum
interest dialogues and Feel Good factor.
